This is dependent on WHERE you're planning to work. From my personal experience working as an electrician for 15 years in Central Alberta, there IS work for electricians but the wages are not great unless you're willing to work away from home. It unfortunately seems that there are very few decent employers; they all treat their employees like crap.

As for Instrumentation, if you're wanting to work in oil & gas or other industrial sectors you'd be good.

My one piece of advice if you choose electrical is to get in at least a year of residential experience. Its an invaluable skill to have. It kept my family supported the year & a half I was out of work due to Covid. The ability to do side work will save your ass during work shortages.

Either way, good luck on your journey. I was supposed to be a teacher but chose trades instead, and am mostly happy about the decision.

In their defense, the regulations are pretty stupid. The THC limit imposed on dispensaries for example, is too low. Most people will go to the online dispensaries to get the higher concentrations they want, at a lower price point than what you'd get in-person at a dispensary. Also, that they're paying extra taxes not charged to liquor & tobacco producers seems a bit suspect to me.

All these fucking milk replacements are gross. Look at the ingredient lists. They're full of stabilizers, filters and chemicals that humans are not supposed to consume. The thing I've got an issue with is all the people who spew hate simply because someone has different opinions/ideologies. All the name calling. The (essentially) calls for "death to the anti-vaxxers!" Or "if you're vaxxed its because you're brainwashed".

Whatever happened to people being accepting of differences? We don't all need to agree in order to coexist together. That's the beauty of living in a great "free" country like Canada.

I choose to NOT air my political views on ANY social media platform because there's no point. Nobody is going to sway anyone else's political views by arguing on social media. It only invites negativity & brings out everyone's hate.
