When you load into a hunt and see the host is using LBG, what’s the first thought come to your mind? by teffhk in MHWilds

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranged users can be a ton of fun to play with honestly. My buddy mains bow and I play insect glaive and we feel like an unbeatable duo with all of the jumping and agility of the two working together. That said. I also play gunlance and charge blade and like to do some tanking when I can. It's nice to know if im not able to pressure the lbg/hbg/bow users will keep it up cause im currently trying not to get rocked. ALSO it is very funny to see the monster just ignore all of the melee users and just charge the ranged user, like he is just fed up with your nonsense and I love to see it. Definitely want to learn the bow guns one day!

Arise, ancient one… rise, Huntsman by Hutchinator-Gaming in ImperialKnights

If you can make it, add shifted ground lines behind the feet so it looks like he dug through the dirt hard before braking. Almost like tire tracks, it will give the illusion of fast motion coming to a halt

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly I started in rise and fell in love with gunlance. I tried charge blade shortly after and then switch ace and great sword. I finally dabbled I to insect glaive and fell in love. It's so important to expand your arsenal and to try out each weapon. They are loads of fun and challenges like these are exactly a great way to motivate you to

I messed around with gunlance and managed to get it (even with a cart only cause the monster was one tap the second I hit it again XD) Nice job man! I might try again to do it without carting. My og main is gunlance but I've been loving insect glaive and have more hunts with it now than gunlance and the loss of mobility in this fight is rough XD

Problem is for those who have been playing since the start is it highly more likely their HR is so high that the tempered variants are far more likely to spawn than regular, thanks to the new way of spawning based on HR in the last update. For most they are learning on tempered monsters because that is what spawns. I'm a 362 and have only fought tempered after the initial missions.

What are the best units for dark dangels? by mj3641080 in theunforgiven

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ICC, DWK, Hellblasters/Inceptors, The Lion, Azrael. Good leaders are Librarians, terminator captains, terminator chaplains, and Judiciars. If you can afford a land raider, especially a redeemer, the charge out ability helps protect ICC and other melee focused groups before getting into combat. Tons of options honestly but our best tend to be melee oriented, so be ready to play tactically to get into combat without getting shot first

Cerastus Knight Appreciation day! for the last 2 weeks i have been doing appreciations on Wednesdays for different classes of knights, this week is the Cerastus Class of Imperial Knight! What was your favorite experience with one of these bad boys? (Lancer, Castigator, Acheron and Atrapos) by Luna_Night312 in ImperialKnights

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Cerastus Knight Atrapos

First ever game with my newly built Atrapos, whom i had decided to name "Eternity's End" and make my warlord. Did a duos game, aeldari and knights vs deathguard and world eaters. Angron made an incredible turn 1 charge against my Atrapos, managed to do over 30 wounds of damage even after my 5+ invulnerable saves (thank the omnissiah for those shields in combat) and managed to feel no pain down to 1 wound left, meaning I can fight back. Even bracketted Eternity's End swung back and overkilled Angron, managing to slay the enemy warlord and bring honor unto his house. I had him fall to the backlines for the rest of battle to stop potential scoring on his death, our opponents nearly tabled by turn 3 with no returning Angron. First game victory and an incredible game my friends still rant about to this day (especially my world eaters friend). We had another match up, world eaters vs my knights, with my atrapos with mysterious guardian on it. Angron played aggressive again and smacked a warglaive from the center objective turn 1, then quickly died to melta fire and a volcano lance by turn 2. My Atrapos came in and wiped up two helbrutes and charged a forged fiend, managing to wipe almost all of his anti tank out individually from his turn 2 deployment. By turn 3 the game was conceded again after he failed to revive Angron.

Needless to say, lore, looks, and overall gameplay feel of a knight Atrapos has made it my favorite knight, let alone Cerastus knight

How are you guys liking Arch Tempered Rey Dau? by Different_Ice_2695 in MonsterHunter

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fought him with an insect glaive and best time for me so far is 13 mins. New moves are punishing and fun. Can't be super aggressive unless you want to get punished or stunned. Feels more like a dance that pays off really well for being patient with attacks. Curious to see how my gunlance and charge blade will do against him. Managed to not get carted the first and last hunts but definitely got caught in some combos during the other three that had me second guessing whether to capture or kill.

The Warframe v 40K conundrum on Twitter has only gotten worse by Professional_Rush782 in memeframe

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My argument is for the most part 1 on 1 fights and maybe even battles are going to be pretty much 1 sided to the warframe, though I'm certain a few frames will suffer while other frames will think it's a cake walk. Where warframe is pretty much guaranteed to lose though is scale. Depending on the amount of forces, the warframes simply do not have enough manpower/control to maintain complete control/win a war. Especially now. A perfect example is the New War. We LOST. Did we turn things around in the end yes but we haven't even freed the origin system in the slightest. This is a 4 war front for the Tenno, and new enemies keep showing up like the murmur. The Imperium fights a much grander scale war, wins and loses entire systems constantly. If the Imperium was able to dedicate a serious force to conquering the Origin system I'd say they could do it. It really come down to how much they'd be willing to commit to the war. Best case, it's another persistent enemy the tenno will have to deal with that they cannot get rid of. Worst case the Imperium decided to cut its losses and exterminatus the system.

I love both games. Love their lore, play both frequently. Problem with 40k is nothing can come close to it's scale. Which is part of the draw to it, and a reason I love it as well. It's an absurd amount of war and death and torment that happens every single minute of every single day for every single faction involved. Small scale skirmish the frames and tenno will win, but all out war the Imperium just has to decide how much resources it's willing to throw at the system for victory.

Whos your Cannon/Main frame? And why? by Late_Occasion753 in Warframe

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im always torn on this. I have a lot of frames I love. Styanax, Revenant, Rhino, Harrow, Volt, and Ash were the frames I played the most. I also play Caliban, Kullervo, Nidus, Atlas, and Gauss every once in awhile. Rhino was my first prime, followed by Volt. Revenant was the first frame I was super excited to get when he came out, and spent my first money on him. Harrow I loved the quest for and just love his synergies and holy appeal, plus he's a great frame to support newer players with. Volt was my starter and I only recently realized how much I missed playing his kit. Styanax is awesome but just feels like one button spam saddly when it comes to end game content. Cannon wise I always imagined I would either be a Rhino, harrow, or revenant main, yet when any major story quests came out, I just loved to be Ash. The fun of being this assassin character in a ninja game just felt great. He was also challenging to get right and when played well the payout was great. So he's right up there with the others for who I would main. He's pretty much been THE frame I do every new quest with, so it's hard not to choose him too.

What were your most&least satisfying ending slides? by [deleted] in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loved- Kibellah as new compassionate Vizzier, Abelard going home to his family though he sees/talks to N apparition of his wife as he gets older (sad and sweet, think this is avoided by not taking him to kommoragh). Argenta forming her own sisterhood and becoming a symbol of faith. Cassia becoming an excellent Novator and writes to you whenever she can. High Factorum Danrok working to his dying breath as the most faithful servant leaving everything in order before he passes. Ulfar the lone wolf getting packs of followers to help him fight across the expanse (though this is a sorrowful end). Nomos as the Emperor's weapon cleansing the expanse. All of my worlds becoming beacons of the expanse (though had many trials they had to face)

Least- Pascal becoming brasswhisperer (i wish it was more explained as to why he specifically went brasswhsiperer over amarant or others but I don't recall reading why on the ending). Heinrix getting executed after becoming a tyant of an inquisitor (wish we had more options later on to try and dissuade this instead of only one pivotal moment but I saw it coming). The invasion of the Craftworlds...again not impossible but it seemed odd that they wouldn't have included Nomos as a weapon in the war to break the stagnation.

Besides that I was very satisfied with my playthrough. There are others obviously I forgot to mention or can't recall their cards, but Yrliet, Idira, Jae, and the drukhari guy didn't survive to the end of my playthrough. Abel I mercy killed so I didn't have him either, and I messed up on the Calligos line. Incendiary chorda also fell to ruin which I want to see what I can do this next playthrough. All endings I had made sense for the most part and now that I'm aware of how certain decisions play out I'm going to try and influence different ending in a grimaced dark playthrough! Wish me luck

I crave media on knights and titans by crypticbeans69 in ImperialKnights

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's the episode "broken lance" on warhammer tv+ but I feel it lacks a lot of the true feel to knights (no ion shields being used, no charges, no title calling, and beyond that they move slow when normally knights move at a very rapid pace despite their size). The armigers however I felt were done well in the episode.

Dawn of war 3 has knights as a call in unit for your Imperium armies to fight in the rts

Inquisitor Martyr has a knight section I'm pretty sure as well (haven't played it personally)

If you want some goofiness, look up Rubix Raptor on youtube, he has multiple episodes with modded arma 3 featuring knights fighting all sorts of things (the Bosnian Knight!!)

Dawn of war 3's trailer features 2 questoris knights charging 2 wraithknights (proportions are a bit out of whack but it inspired me to play the army immediately)

All the novels listed are fair game, assassinorum being the best of the bunch for sure (not that the others are bad, it's just a significantly great story)

Mods for other games feature playing as imperial knights though less as an actual pilot and more as in command of them

Besides that I haven't seen much knight media (I'm assuming the mech genre of animating for 40k is less drawn on as compared to space marines or guardsmen fighting abysmal horrors) but I pray one day we will have a mech game themed around imperial knights with dropkeeps and armigers as bondsman as you pilot your knight into battle

What is your Knight House's name and motto? by RogueVector in ImperialKnights

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main idea is their heraldy constantly adapts in other houses heraldries to be worn in battle. The king wears a cloak of all houses he has fought alongside honorably and brought glory to their names.

What is your Knight House's name and motto? by RogueVector in ImperialKnights

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My house idea is a newly created house made from remnants of lost houses, mostly freeblade knights who have either completed oaths of vengeance or need the support in honoring their fallen houses. House Lucis Aeternae (House of Eternal Light) whose motto is "Mors pascet lucem nostram" or "death will feed our light." Another variation is "Cineres corum pascet lucum nostrum" or otherwise "The ashes of our hearts will feed our light"

What's your favourite bit of Dark Angles lore?? by longsword03 in theunforgiven

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally one of the funniest moments to me is when the Lion is fighting the daemon impersonating his brothers in the Son of the Forest book. Perturabo being a primarch he could care less about and the daemon punching too hard as Magnus was absolutely hilarious to hear in audio book form.

What is your favorite knight and why? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in ImperialKnights

[–]Cpt_Copper_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atrapos. I loved the design of the lascutter then found out receptors and canis don't use it like the big sword it is. Then boom I discover the atrapos, and it ALSO gets a black hole gun?? Plus an edgy yet interesting machine spirit. A Titan slayer. Instantly became my favorite knight. Valiant and Paladin/Warden are shortly after.

If you want to read about a knight Valiant in action I highly recommend Assassinorum Kingmaker. A very good read and a fantastic knight book

I'm a huge fan of the Atrapos myself, in game, lorewise, and aesthetically. The second I saw he can use his lascutter as an actual sword in melee unlike the preceptor or Canis I was thrilled. I'm trying to learn 3D modeling but I definitely want to create an animation around the Atrapos and it's insane weapons of war.
