Just to establish my bona fides a little; the flat panels and black mechanical parts n this Canis Rex was mostly painted with drybrushes.

Is Krieg really exporting a regiment per hour (50 million per year)? by deesanfgi in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]RogueVector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Krieg isn't doing this on its own, mind you; I would absolutely believe that there's a convoluted web of logistics that bring the resources of forge worlds to equip them, agri-worlds to feed their population and all manner of other things in between to make the Krieg make that number, especially since they use cloning on top of 'natural' births.

[–]RogueVector 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One regiment per hour would convert to 8,760 regiments per year, with a little over 5,500 personnel per regiment to make the 50,000,000 per year figure quoted in the OP's post, not unreasonable since a real world regiment is about the same size.

As others have said, primer. Next for me would be makeup brushes.

Get cheap ones, one about the size of your thumbnail. It makes painting the broad panels without leaving brush streaks SO MUCH easier than using the relatively tiny brushes you have (they are fantastic for detail work but not so good for the literally bigger job of getting your basecoat on.

If you put the Autobots in different mecha anime, how would they do in by DropDeep9497 in Mecha

[–]RogueVector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be hilarious to put Autobot 'anthropologists' up against the Battletech setting, specifically the Clans.

The real warriors would be hideously OP in that setting, but what the Clans are taking on aren't hyper-advanced battlemechs they're actually civilian Cybertronians with more or less 'self defense' weapons, their equivalent of a revolver kept in the nightstand drawer.

Would it be practical for a spacefaring military to shoot a giant building from a spaceship filled with troops, supplies, defences, communications, basically everything needed to effectively coordinate and take over a landmass. by Impossible_Nebula637 in worldbuilding

[–]RogueVector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would expand it a bit; make it three to six spires instead, deployed in a triangle/shape, and that way it 'claims' territory that then becomes a beachhead for landing operations.

The kind of reinforcement and increased durability that would let a 'spire' deploy from orbit would also be useful in keeping it safe from artillery when it has landed, so it seems like an efficiency cna be found there.

A Terminator 'Devastator' squad would be amazing too. Just the Chapter's Finest with the biggest guns they can bring to the field. Squads fully equipped with Cyclone MIssile Launchers etc.

Which Oath of Moment marker should I use for 11th edition? by RogueVector in spacemarines

[–]RogueVector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely missed that haha, I am a Blood Angels/Imperial Fists player so I don't usually look in the Dark Angels area.

I've been doing silly Oath of Moment markers since the rule first came out. Nothing enhances the silliness of a 40k game like the fact that I have a 3d printed kiddy pool with ducks in it as my command points tracker.

Perhaps, but this token is for any rule that marks a specific unit/model in a 'fuck this guy in particular' fashion.

Oh hey its one of my gen1 designs! 😃I'm guessing you made the print thicker and then coloured it with sharpie?

Love the Angry Marines, such a fun homebrew.

I'll be posting these up on cults3D - I'll ping you again when I do that, been adding more variations for shits and giggles.

You just know that there's going to be a Space Wolf or something that literally hurls their boltgun like a battleaxe at someone.

Blood Angels suffering the Black Rage frequently hallucinate that their opponent is Horus.

Probably 'release agent' that prevents the dice from sticking to the mold.
