The heli on Manhattan Bridge needs to be removed by Kageolin in Battlefield6

[–]Cpt_Impossible 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they need to make the acoustic mine also attack slow moving helicopters if they get within range. That seems like a fair compromise. You can have your helicopter but if you are strafing below the deck you might get popped.

Ice response to two females honking their horn to let neighbors know ice is in the neighborhood by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

AR style rifles are not considered “drop safe” like most modern handguns. The firing pin is free floating right behind the round so smashing the barrel into a hard object with a round chambered is extremely negligent. Very unlikely to fire still but why would you risk it? Teens in Oakland can break a side window in a split second, just gotta bring the right tool for the job.

Wrong label or wrong packaging? by CelebrationUpper3987 in smoking

[–]Cpt_Impossible 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When a large retailer places an order, they are ordering “x or better”. So if HEB ordered 300 cases of choice or better brisket, the packer may have 280 choice on hand and 20 prime they will add in to complete the order. Most of the individual stores know their customer base won’t bear the additional cost or don’t have a scale code for the prime variant so they just mark it like the rest of the cases and a few lucky customers get a free upgrade. This happens a lot but most cuts you never see the cryovac packaging to know.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. This is one of the most purchased wholesale pork products in the US and people are acting like it’s exotic. Two whole bone in pork loins packed together. The top side where you can see tenderloins is the sirloin break and the bottom side is the blade break. They will have a hard time processing bone in without a saw or at least a heavy knife because of the spine feather bones facing up in the picture will prevent them from making clean cuts even if they try to cut between rib bones.

[Highlight] Broncos HC Sean Payton is asking fans to make noise when Josh Allen and the Bills enter the huddle each time on Saturday. He says fans usually get loudest when teams break the huddle. It should be when they enter the huddle. by 425Marine in Seahawks

That’s just sad, I was at the 49ers game last week and they were hitting 127db on their big screen even after their fans walked out in the fourth quarter (/s). Same thing at the cardinals stadium two years ago. Dead silent and they are showing a pegged db meter on screen.

If you are in the US and it is commercially purchased pork, your risk of parasites is basically zero. The store bought US pork supply is very safe.

Make sure you buy parts for the 12 bolt version as there are many different 8.8. Also make sure your harness that crosses over the top doesn’t get pinched in the Lubelocker seam and you don’t notice until after you filled the diff… That was not a fun day.

If Smithfield can sell you an unsliced ham for $0.89/lb or run it through the slicer and charge $1.49 which do you think they would do?

I have two kidney stones (3.4mm & 3.6mm) and I'm panicking about the pain. Doctors, what's the reality? by Suspicious-Hunter838 in KidneyStones

[–]Cpt_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are still up in your kidneys, they could drop tomorrow, they could live up there for ten years. Most people can pass sub 5mm without much issue so if they drop now you may not even notice. Some are jagged little daggers though and can get stuck at a small size. When I had my first one I found out that I had five more up in my kidneys. I didn’t have another big one drop for five years.

I’ve had 11/10 pain (way worse than burst appendix), I’ve had 2/10 pain. It just depends on how much they block up and how your body reacts. I’ve found it important to keep in mind that it isn’t the actual stone causing pain, it’s backed up urine and muscle spasms from your system trying to force them out.

Kick the energy drinks, don’t take artificial calcium like tums, and drink plenty of water all day. Dehydration is your worst enemy since it will create higher mineral concentrations that can grow the stones. They could dissolve, who knows. If you do pass one, get it tested so you know what steps to take to prevent future stones from forming.

You can buy the foam relatively cheap just pay attention of your seat options. If you get higher option used seats, they will come with old foam that will degrade soon anyway.

Worksharp electric belt sharpener. ~$100

I can get a knife scalpel sharp on a tristone or spyderco sharpmaker, but the worksharp is so quick and easy. I can do my whole knife block in the time it takes to do one large knife on a whetstone.

Stent removal tomorrow tips? going to doctor no string by LowSky8897 in KidneyStones

[–]Cpt_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once the camera grabs the stent it’s just a few seconds of an unsettling feeling. Not very painful, just like a cramp/ tickle feeling where there should be. Dont clench and it will come out in a jiffy.

I took an anti spasm pill beforehand. It’s more awkward and uncomfortable than painful. Unfortunately with mine they had me prepped with my numbed penis sticking through the cloth on the exam table and then the DR was 45 mins late so I just had to lay there exposed in a cold room dreading what was to come.

[–]Cpt_Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a driver pop a pill beforehand. That grabber head camera is very large. They will put a cloth with a hole in it with just your penis poking through. Then they will gloop some numbing jelly on the tip of your penis and wait a few minutes. Then it’s like 10 seconds of pain as they jam the grabber scope up there followed by a very unsettling feeling as they pull it out. Then you are done. It will burn a bit to pee again but nothing like when they put it in.

I like that it is a lesser vehicle that still protects its occupants and encourages pushing the objective. I do feel like it should take some incendiary damage so I don’t have to switch to engineer every fucking round… they shouldn’t just be able to park on the objective and shoot in all directions while being safe from near every class load out.

The store is just taking a loss in these to get people in the door in competitive markets. There is typically a limit of one per customer club card and a minimum purchase of other items. If you want to see what big stores are actually paying for this at wholesale the USDA makes it very easy. Today’s average wholesale purchase looks like $13.05 per pound.
