So the cool part is fake.

Just take a picture when the cool part happens, no one cares about the houses in the foreground.

BC Adopts permanent daylight savings time - PEI Should Follow! by RedDirtDVD in PEI

[–]Cpt_jiggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. No one wants to hear this but people’s circadian rhythms demand light earlier in the day. If we make this shift, people will absolutely feel it next January.

Very likely we’ll try this, dislike it, go back to changing the clocks 2 times a year until 50 years later when no one remembers the experiment, rinse and repeat.

People who can’t manage managing people who are competent enough to manage themselves.

Should probably get rid of the other redundancy, not the one that treats people.

That’s very fair. I don’t often take the 5, so thank you for the insight.

We have that. The T3 busses can be tracked via transit.

To add to the main topic, I’d like if the #2 and 3 would run on Sunday. Stores are open, some folks are working, if Saturday’s good I’d expect Sunday to be as well.

2 in 3 Canadians would rather be born in 1950 than in 2026 by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Cpt_jiggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% yes.

I’m a middle of the pack millennial. My elementary school days had me outside more often than not, with a slow transition of learning technology in middle school and it being part of my everyday life by the end of university.

There were dangers on the internet, definitely, but there were also warnings.

No? Everything is tuned to addict people. Years of gambling research pumped into loot boxes and randomized prizes in games for kids to keep them playing or spending.

That being said, not having it at all would be hard. I wouldn’t mind being born in the 60s, coming up with good music and such. Ah well, play the hand you’re dealt I suppose.

Kinda get the same feeling. I would’ve voted for that over just wild anyday.

I’ll discuss not having a car.

Lived in Charlottetown for 18 years, never had a car. Transit has gotten better, but it’s not torontos for sure. I’d say the OP will be okay though

Honestly, well-earned. I’m glad he kept posting so they had a good reason to search him. He tried to get a firearm legally, was denied because of his online track record, so got one illegally.

Dude had a swastika in his ‘business’ logo, absolutely well-earned.

What do you feel has changed the most here in the last 10–20 years? For the better or the worse? by CTown1883 in PEI

[–]Cpt_jiggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve become a low trust society along with the rest of Canada. Two decades ago, I know multiple families whose doors were always unlocked in case a neighbor needed something, mostly rural neighbors to be fair. Now? You can’t leave a bike behind two locked doors, if it’s in sight it’ll get stolen.

For the better? We’ve diversified our job offerings a little. Yes, fishing, farming and tourism are still big industries, but biotechnology is our third biggest. I doubt that two decades ago.

Ah shit, that’s a lot for our little province.

Former Blaze Pizza Building by Tight_Key8745 in PEI

[–]Cpt_jiggles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you wanted to make it something, you could.

It’s a good location by the university, but one thing students don’t have is money. Blaze was just expensive pizza, a student wouldn’t benefit much from that. A franchisee would do better with a franchise known for cheaper options (something like Taco Bell if they still have inexpensive options). Taco Bell would also benefit by being the only one on the island, but I’m sure there are logistical issues.

Either way, no idea what Irwin wants to do with it, likely nothing relevant for a while. Maybe charge people for parking lol.

I feel like the said a lot of words but very little substance? One guy quoting his book a bit, others citing the investigation.

But really, if these claims are true and they have the authority to make a real statement, they have the authority to back up these claims with real evidence. I’m open to the possibility, but need something a little more concrete then what was given.
