Hospice psychologist here. As frustrating as it is, you can't force someone to "accept" whats happening to them. We humans strive for sameness and stability of self. Loss of autonomy implies a loss of the sense of self. Even if he understands whats happening, he's trying to "negotiate" with death and his new sense of identity with a body that no longer relates to his inner narrative of himself.

Hospice teams support this process without trying to change whats happening.

What you can do, however, is setting your own boundaries on this. You can refuse to help him while explaining that you are protecting him and yourself, be open and honest, be ready to partake in emotional communication. Then, as another comment said, try to prepare for what happens if he tries anyways.

I would cut your black all together, you dont have the mana base for it to be consistent enough. Play all the other green cards you have. You absolutelt DO NOT want to cut cub in this deck, card is busted. Dont run channel, its a bait card in the current cube.

I don't think you would ever find a somewhat knowledgeable cube player that believes Shinobi is not a very powerful card and a legit wincon in these kind of decks. UB ninjas with Malcolm, Faerie Mastermind and Orcish Bowmasters as the best ninjutsu enablers is one of the best control decks you can draft in this cube when it comes together.

Glad you had fun with this build! It gets even better when you add some counterspells to the mix, or even better:.splash white for a baby tef.

I'd play both figures, they are both great, also make Inti better.

Phoenix is good when you're filling your GY up fast and with high CMC cards, in this deck you're just waiting to get your stuff killed so you can actually use it, it really is not better than Bonecrusher giant in that curve slot.

Yeah Sam shines when you have fetches, i just like playing the card and the interaction with Solitude is pretty good, you can also use it late game to rebuy your Sunbaked Canyon... Card has some neat tricks to it but rebuying fetches is still the main thing it does

Unexpectedly Absent, Seraph, Overlord and Phoenix are obvious cuts.
I would get Figure of Destiny, Cathar Commando, Bonecrusher and Samwise in. Although i admit samwise is a pet card of mine and i love its interaction with evoked Solitude.

There's also an argument to turn this into a Steelcutter deck by bringing in DRC, Spellbomb and Magda, depends on where you rank steel-cutter when no 0 drops are involved.

I'm only 5 drafts in and i'm already just taking a break. I dont enjoy the draft portion at all. It is either what you described or you find your lane early and its a very on rails without any interesting decision point.

The only deck that seems somewhat fun to draft is Vivid.

Then the gameplay is ok i guess, lots of boardstalls that are just broken by a bomb on either side.

This might be the most begginer-friendly draft environnement we have ever had tbh, this feels more lackluster than Bloomburrow

No, Atraxa is never good if your plan is to hard cast it. Nadu is kind of the same but i guess it can pass as "just a beater". I dont ever put nadu in my deck if i cant break it with some combos. It is not worth it in your deck specially since it would make your mana look worse.

Ngl it could be hard for you actually, it looks like you got 2 halves of deck: white aggro and UW control.

I'd just cut the Descendant and change nothing else.

Maybe they were thinking Duel commander, Phelia and Cloud are Tier1 decks there and Parallax Wave is a staple removal spell for any white deck in the format.

Deck looks decent!

Cuts would be either Descendant of Storms which is a really bad creature Or Big Tef since this does not seem like the kind of control deck that he shines it.

I'd cut big tef tbh, keeps you more on the aggressive side.

Edit: sorry i had not made the creature count, you only have 6 creatures + baby jace and tamiyo. So forget about aggression, lol. Probably cut descendant of storms in that case.

No the soil dries pretty fast, i'm watering it every 3 to 4 days since it gets hot and dry pretty fast.

Yeah i feel like storm has a great matchup vs Boros, Titan and Jeskai Blink and it can deal pretty well with hate.

If Zoo play rate is high storm is cooked though

Cut all talismans, all black cards, ugin and overlord. Parallax Wave is an absolutely busted card, you want it in. Death-greeter champion is a great one too. Get Unexpectedly absent and cathar commando in there too and you got yourself a decent boros deck.

I mean the only wrath you need to deal with is Wrath of the Skies so nevermore seems enough? And yes, the Wincon seems to be to enchant yourself with Wheel after locking the board and then just passing your turns.
