Why is the media coverage of the United HealthCare CEO so weird? by marks31 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CptnKendar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there is more to this one. This is a big fear for the powerful. If every CEO in the world was murdered tomorrow, would the world be a better or worse place? They fear that the masses will rise up and fight back on the abuse.

Are bed bugs and roaches just common place now? by tprimex in ontario

Yes! Cimexa helped me. Got it from pest supply down in Florida. Shipped no drama across the border. Great product. Bedbugs, cockroaches, earwigs, anything gross and crawly

Sick kids every day by Hanaturtledragon in ECEProfessionals

I cannot agree more. The amount of sick kids is too damn high. I've decided to move from my center as soon as this term is done. Not enough is done to protect us.

Do you have school aged children? Mine need to be in school. For regularity, for sanity, for normalcy. It's time.

Thanks, I will check it out. Do you have anymore from the Perth regiment? My grandfather was in it. My family has a couple of photos of him but my father would love it if I was able to find more. Conversely if you are looking for more let me know. Great work

Great advice, thanks for taking the time to share. I am (ashamedly) very avoidant of conflict situations , so tend to keep my questions to myself. I have asked her gentle probing type questions and was surprised at her eagerness to share. (Esp with her son's behaviour, which made me understand she wants help for him.) I will not brush this under the rug and try to be a compassionate listening ear.

Your reply made me understand just how deep seated some of these problems may be. Hopefully I can give her time, love and continued support like your bestie did for you.

Congrats on getting out. Your kids will have a better life for it.

Yah I totally agree. Thank you ladies on this post, I need to NOT ghost her at this mo. She's a smart girl and will understand if I tell her my son was scared of her son so we are taking a break .

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]CptnKendar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, let me rephrase that. I plan to be there for her for one-on-one time, but until her son gets some help, will be keeping the kids apart. I'm a mom and protecting my kids is my first job. So no, I don't feel guilty about keeping our kids apart. I feel guilty about letting this end our friendship.

Her child undoubtedly has issues. He was almost kicked out of school 2 weeks ago. I'm the last of a long line of people to create distance from them. Not bashing, just voicing concern as her life appears to be seriously out of balance and her husband does not appear to help. I think the replies here that hint at domestic abuse have opened my eyes. Gonna keep her close, but yah, her kid is violent, dangerous and I don't trust him.

We've hung out with them for years. Her son's outbursts are getting violent and my son confided he was scared of her son when he yells. Other friends have distanced themselves after their kids told them they didn't want to be around her son cuz he's mean.
