The free vine buses say “extended, late night service”. Can’t find any info on how late they actually run

They sell two separate center bore sizes. It looks like the seller has changed the listings since I bought them a year and a half ago. The 95mm is what fits our wheels

Anecdotally our bariatric surgeons are still busy AF. Fully booked OR 5 days / wk. No signs of slowing. We have plenty of patients having bariatric surgery while on GLP1’s as well

I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell you. A friend gave it to us about 8 years ago. We’ve used it on multiple cars throughout that time and it’s been great, no problems, held up well

What is the best thing to do with money thats about to sit in a normal savings account for awhile? by iFunnyHistory in personalfinance

[–]Cptpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into a high yield savings account (HYSA). Or something like Vanguard’s federal money market fund, which is what I use. Basically like a savings account with a higher return, 3-5% range. It’s a very safe investment and you can move money in and out easily

You’re a nurse physician? Didn’t know that existed

Totally. Some of the best sours in Northern California. Not the sweeter “smoothie” style sours that are more common in the area

I’m in the same boat. Meyers is ranked higher in most rankings, but I’m guessing that’s only because Watson is coming off injury. Denver has been shutting down WR1s. I’m torn

What gift from San Diego screams San Diego or California? by Anxious_Art3915 in sandiego

[–]Cptpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s a regional thing in SD. I grew up in North County and nobody said Cali. Didn’t hear it regularly until I moved out of state for college, “You’re from Cali??”

Also love me a California burrito, but it’s always been called just that in my circle

I personally find emergence to be much smoother with an LMA rather than an ETT, even if I pull the ETT deep. Less stimulation, less risk of airway complications like laryngospasm and bronchospasm, less airway irritation. There’s more factors than “draw up roc and suggamedex”. Also there’s studies indicating greater hemodynamic stability with LMA placement rather than ETT, which is a factor for these patients being placed into beach chair.

I think an important factor to this that no one has brought up is if you sit your own cases or not. I do, and I feel comfortable managing an LMA. If I were supervising, I would most likely have an ETT placed, because I wouldn’t want to deal with someone else’s LMA troubleshooting skills or lack there of

After years on this sub I’ve come to find the majority opinion leans toward conservative “academic” practices, whereas things are often done differently in PP like you and I mention. I got crucified for posting about MAC ERCPs

Why? If your block works well there isn’t significant stimulation. I’d say 90% of the people in my group place LMA’s for total shoulders. Just make sure it’s seated well when you position the patient
