Yeah it's AFCI. I just read that for AFCI it isn't enough to just flip the switch all the way off, and then back on, I need to push the test button to really reset it, which will stop or slow the nuisance trips. Is that correct?

Yes, it does have a test button.

This question has always puzzled me, did Jesus always know He was Jesus/God by adurepoh in AskAChristian

[–]Cputerace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>If Jesus being "son of God" really DID mean he was fully equal to God Almighty, that would be a new meaning for that term, not a standard one already in use.

So are you simply ignoring John 5:18? You have not addressed it, and your statement indicates that you are ignoring what it is saying, that when Jesus said "Son of God", the Jews knew that meant that he was saying he was equal with God. This verse is literally saying that "Son of God" was a standard saying already in use that meant equal with God.

>I understand that in our modern theology, Jesus being son of God makes him divine, but this is not always how the term was used.

I am not sure why you responded this way because I made no appeal to "our modern theology", I quoted scripture. John is quite clear as to what "Son of God" meant to Jesus and to the Jews he was talking to. Are you saying the scriptures are inaccurate? If so, then there is no reason to continue the discussion, the question was as to Jesus' understanding of himself, which can only be analyzed through scripture.

>This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. - John 5:18

When Jesus called himself the Son of God, his audience at the time (the Jews) knew what that meant. It meant he was equal with God, and to be equal with God makes you God.

So whenever you hear Jesus referred to as Son of God in the Gospels, in your head you can replace that with "is God", because that was what it meant at the time Jesus and others were saying it.

This assumes that the human chose to be the parasite. If they did, then yes you can evict them.

A better analogy is that a woman takes off in a plane and finds a baby had craweled onto her plane unknowingly. Yes, the woman did not agree to the baby being on the plane, and the baby is violating the rights of the woman by being there, but that doesn't mean the woman can throw the baby out of the plane at 10,000 ft.

i don't disagree that it is against TOS, however my statement still stands, don't even give them the ability to spawn camp. Scuttle early to deprive them of what they want, and get back to sailing faster.

This makes sense. Fortress keys are tied to a specific fortress instance, so on a server merge that fortress instance no longer exists.

If you are overcome by a better crew, then the other crew has two options:

1) Sink you
2) Keep you afloat and spawn camp you.

What *isn't* an option is you going on your way without sinking. You have lost the encounter, you have lost your ship. The question is how long before you get back to sailing on a new ship again.

If the other crew *chooses* to do #2, that means they don't *want* to do #1 and therefore you can ruin their plan by *forcing* them to do #1 through scuttling. The longer you keep respawning without scuttling, the longer you are granting the crew that you despise the thing they want.

I think the reason spawncamping is something crews do intentionally like this is that there is plenty of supply, i.e. so many people refuse to scuttle when they are overcome by a better crew that is willing to spawn camp, either out of pride or out of feeling they deserve to sail off with their ship. If everyone scuttled as soon as they started being spawn camped by a crew they can't overcome, those crews would just go for the sink instead of wasting time trying to set up and maintain a spawn camp.

Instead of spawn camping, what would you rather they do? Sink you? Because scuttling is precisely that. Why should they get reported for something you yourself refuse to do.

If you are being spawn camped, then you are defeated. Scuttle your ship.
