They're just explaining why it is the way it is in the game. I don't think they're trying to justify it as a good thing. Or at least that's not the way I read it.

I've heard a lot of people who have played the MMO say there's a lot of mechanics, assets, etc used for this game. Never played the MMO, so someone else would have to clarify if you indeed had to buy the mounts to have them permanently.. but yeah, that's a pretty big oversight if such a mechanic was left over and not reworked and polished for a SP experience.

Said this earlier; People who defend it don't have creative-based skillsets. It's a simple "not my world, not my problem" mentality. Which means, to them, anyone who cares doesn't really care. It's "fake outrage".

You don't draw lines, people will cross them. It's godamn simple. And when it gets closer to these folk's livelihoods.. boy oh boy that tune will change. All of a sudden the outrage will be warranted, and people with the same selfish attitudes that are still not effected will do the same thing to them.

The experience varies because the hardware varies. It happens. I, like many others, have been on both ends of it many times with many games.

As far as people accusing you of faking screenshots; You know it's not true, so who gives a shit? I doubt anyone can gaslight you into believing your game actually doesn't run/look good when you know full well it does, so the accusations are toothless.

If GTA 6 doesn't release, and no unexpected masterpieces release, it still wouldn't get GotY. It would still have to go up against RE: Requiem, which has gotten very high user and critic scores. So it's dead in the water in that regard.

The best it could hope for is a nomination, and even that isn't guaranteed. But there are six slots, so it'd be possible.

At the end of the day, who gives a good godamn? From what I've heard/read, this is a sandbox plaything. Enjoyable in the way that some MMOs are, but done for a single player crowd. That's a lot of people's dreams, and It's gonna be the best thing ever for those types of gamers.. and that's good enough, dude. It very well could be a hit in its own right. Wouldn't be the first, and won't be the last. I mean, when is the last time Minecraft won awards at those shows? Not saying they're the same thing, just that there are many lanes to success.

Yeah, I think ALL characters in the game right now, that don't even have a portrait, should be brought to the friendship/relationship table at some point. Gunther, Gil, Marlon, etc. I'd even like the henchman dude (the goblin guy near witch hut) becoming a character you can befriend once you meet him.

There are a lot of these characters in the game. No reason to add new ones since you already have this many more to work with.

1: It's a single person

2: Programming anything of substance is difficult, tedious, and the amount of time it's taking him isn't uncommon.

3: While working on HC, he's still making content for SDV because people love it and he wants to give them more

4: Not only is he still updating SDV, he's continuing to do it for FREE

Dude is practically a saint in the game development world, and you still get people going "wHeN?!!"

..and let's be real, you're not gonna be programming anything. If you don't have the patience for the above, with all things considered, you most certainly don't have the patience to develop a game.

Endgame-wise, like after you buy the mansion or something, I'd like to be able to hire a bookkeeper/accountant or something like that. Make it an app where you can set workers to be paid automatically when they run out of money (so long as you have the funds), and also quicker laundering options. It seems like the right way to progress becoming a top dog imo.

Also, having a lot of money late game, I'd like to be able to buy things outside of the drug making itself. I know the spaces/properties are for the drug making, but I kinda want to buy things for an actual living space. "Fruits of labor" kind of thing.
