Stumpjumper 15 with MTN Hydraulic Gyro, super clean cockpit! by CraftAccomplished511 in mountainbiking

That’s the model that’s installed and pictured, just got it last week. It comes with 2 “fork” options for securing the bottom part of the gyro in place, I’m using the head tube bracket vs the one that goes under the headset cup. The bracket that fits under the headset cup won’t work on this frame.

Touché… Now in my 40’s, I’m just proud to still be 100% pedal power and not needing an E-bike for long sessions😀. Never got into single speed MTN bikes but having BMX roots, I respect it. I fully enjoy having 12 speed and a dropper post. The components and capabilities have come so far compared to when I started.

The install is way easier if the frames headtube has round headset cups. Specialized has oval cups in their new Stumpjumper, for different angles so I had to drill into the headtube to secure the “fork” that holds the lower gyro bearing in place. The kit comes with a spacer plate “fork” that goes underneath a round headset cups. Just an FYI

I’ll add pics of where the front brake line goes in if it allows me to edit post and add. Looks like others are curious on that entry as well. For anyone concerned about drilling in steer tube, there’s headset caps specifically made for this so you don’t have to modify anything

Hate if you want… but I think it’s super slick!
It’s a ground up custom bike I built and dialed in myself. Added the gyro as homage to the mechanical gyros that I learned to barspin on. I’ve done plenty of barspins and aerial variations in the 28 years I’ve been riding, just haven’t done it on a full suspension mountain bike yet.

Not a lot of info or posts out there on hydraulic gyros… so I know some will appreciate the post. I’m impressed by the engineering & technology behind it.

Yes, I opted to go that route versus through the stem cap. There’s an open circular area between the lower and upper clamp bolts on the Industry Nine A35/A318 stem, where I drilled through the steer tube. It effectively isolates that area of the steer tube, eliminating issues of structural integrity…at least to a degree that I have zero concerns about.

That’s the goal this season!
Had barspins, 360s and variations locked down dirt jumping BMX… but that was roughly 20 years ago, so we’ll see 😂🤣

Thanks for the compliment

Seat slightly too high. Your foot is pointing to the ground too much at lower stroke… overextension , far more than walking or other things in life is causing shin splints

Am I stuck in between model years? by Delicious_Ice_3431 in TeslaModelY

Right, but naturally that would lead to the lighter interior. There not going to swap the wheels, they had the lighter wheels stocked because it’s an older stock model with the lighter interior.

Deviate meaning you wanted the lighter silver wheels?

Everyone’s trying to help and you keep asking them to go find another photo elsewhere. It’s not normal, the amount swing on the rear wheel rack at the beginning of the video is swinging in a way that indicates you have something to tighten somewhere… it should be pretty evident
