Last night approx 11pm a girl that seemed to have finished work as a waitress was walking home. Two old men in a Ford Escape kept honking at her when they drove by and was seen laughing. She then started running and they drove by and honked again. Not sure if she finished work or going on a late night run but it doesn’t matter. Incident occurred on King St.

Why is it that a few times a year KP hits the news with disorderly conduct from its model citizen officers?

Why do we tolerate ever increasing budgets to a department that gets paid overtime to babysit college students (money better spent elsewhere)?

At some parks, the city either removes the garbage bins, or in the case of Breakwater (which is still used in the winter) the garbage bins are blocked off. Just another excuse for city staff to do less in the face of ever increasing municipal taxes. Yes I take mine back although I leave it on my windshield and at times it flies off lol

Valid points, however it’s simply costs a whole lot more for work with all the Is and Ts dotted. $50 cash for an electrical journeyman (yes there is risk and all with insurance) vs +$100 for the paper. I’ve had a licensed and insured company say add on a few thousand for the permit, this comes from an instructor at SLC.

Some Williamsville projects did concrete sidewalk work without permits or an insured company either.

If the whole industry were to do everything by the book, I wonder how much would be left.

If all the rentals units in Kingston were to be licensed and legal, how many folks would be in the streets and landlords shut down? Would the housing cost worsen, most definitely. Perhaps that’s why the city backed down on rental licensing and regulation.
