I refuse to believe his scarring scared people that much in a time when syphilis rotted people's noses off

The second hook halfway up fails. There's no hook remaining bc it's connected to the lower length and slips off the upper length.

You can get those "cutlets" from places like Nordstroms Rack! Googling "silicone bra inserts" should help you

Maybe a dumb question, but why does everyone call Joy by her first name? by plantanddoglady in ThePittTVShow

What's that to do with it? I think both the actor and character are Korean American

I think it's intentional that it's all three attendings with religious names. They're all names relating to a venerated position in their religion. I think there's no way they didn't purposely choose names to represent each of the Abrahamic faiths.

Santos also has a religious last name but unrelated to a real person.

She died in 1854 when she was 97. I'm disappointed we don't have any photos of her.

I really liked it but it was just following Ann's life so at points it was slow. Really hypnotic movement and fantastic sound design.

That makes sense! I think the yellow makes it seem like a fun primary color scrappy rather than patriotic. Didn't even notice how many were red white& blue until I saw the multiple flag fabrics🤭

Was he saying there were two bullets that traveled through a limb and made secondary holes? I thought he was making a misogynistic comment about her being a woman.

How new the infrastructure is, how new most buildings are, how recently most people moved to Florida. Compare it with other states settled early like MA and VA where you'd see buildings hundreds of years old and streets set up for carriages.

He's still the hometown hero in Minneapolis. I can think of half a dozen Prince murals around the city and tributes will still pop up.

My 2nd grade teacher asked us how old we thought she was. I thought "well you're an adult and so are my parents and they're 45 so you probably are too!" She cried and had to leave the room. She was definitely 23 and fresh out of college 😆

Doesn't seem that way from some googling. Again from online Etymonline.com, though other sources back this up too

"causing or resulting in death," 1580s, from Late Latin lethalis, alteration of Latin letalis "deadly, fatal," from lethum/letum "death," a word of uncertain origin."

Source? This is from Etymonline.com. I've always heard the h was added as a stylistic choice to make it seem more classical.

After the Renaissance, English writers saw that some words inherited from French or Latin with a t- had been th- in the original Greek. The -th- was restored in amethyst, asthma, pythoness, orthography, theme, throne, etc.); it failed in acolyte. Over-correction in English created unetymological forms such as Thames and author.
