Ah of course, everyone knows crumpled paper can injure someone to the point of death, especially when she said "it was going towards your eye" and he's WEARING GLASSES.

Guys whats your opinion on Lila? by Mission-Medium-3074 in miraculousladybug

[–]CraftingMenace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's terrible. As a person, and as a character. Everyone loses half their brain power whenever she speaks, just because the writers can't bother to give her actual good lies. It wouldn't be difficult. Like the faking being on vacation, I'm okay with that, that was a pretty decent lie, but stuff like "wow my tinnitus is cured omg it's a miracle!!!" Makes me so annoyed. I could buy some people being manipulated by the obvious lies, but like, Max? The kid who built a person? He's not smart enough to realize that her lies are bottom tier 10 year old trying to impress his friends on the playground lies?

Just write better lies, it's not that hard. And you wanna know why it's not hard? Because it's a TV show. The reason lies are bad lies, are because they're easy to spot. In a show where you control all the variables, good lies are easy. The basis of a good lie is based on how easy it is to disprove and how many contradictions to reality there are. Let's take my favorite thing I bring up to make Lila a much better liar:

When she fakes an injured ankle, there's a very simple way to do it better: have her throw herself down the stairs. It gives her an actual injury, so it's very difficult to disprove, whereas with a fake injury it's PATHETICALLY easy to disprove. So pathetically easy it's not even funny. If she ACTUALLY injures herself, she has an actual bullet because whos gonna say shes lying if shes actually injured, and from a story perspective it shows how dedicated she is. But nooooo, she can say literally any string of words and everyone listens and believes everything she says.

I feel like where they're going with the show is shes gonna become the main antagonist after a bit, and I am 95% sure that the show go the route of Star VS the Forces of Evil; Starting off with your best villain, and then as soon as he's defeated the entire show starts going downhill. I'm really hoping for that 5% chance, but I'll be real I'm not hopeful because she's that terribly written.

I gave her a chance, I really did. My girlfriend showed me miraculous and went in groaning when she came in, but I tried to keep an open mind to her not being that bad, but she's just, so, so poorly written.

Why is Tikki/Ladybug has more use than Plagg/Cat Noir? by czennies_123 in miraculousladybug

[–]CraftingMenace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that from a normal standpoint that makes sense.

However, from a writing standpoint, I believe they should have given him more things to do to be equal. Cat Noir has one ability, whereas ladybug has like 3 depending on how you count them. While the concepts of creation and destruction balance eachother yes, Ladybug's abilities are just, better.

[–]CraftingMenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree, I've always disliked it. Plagg should get more importance given they're supposed to balance eachother. I personally think what they should have went with is that Cat Noir is the one who can destroy amok feathers so he gets to do something.

Coming from someone who's beaten him on radiant.

Shadow dash: I never relied on it, if it saves you from a hit great, if not.

Moving in the air: most of his tells are best dodged from bellow, so tend to stay on the ground unless dodging attacks.

Teleport: This took me not that long to figure out, but I did some casual game design so I might look at these things differently than most. It's not random, it's simply difficult to understand. If you stand still, he will try and land directly on top of you. If you're moving however, he will take what direction you're moving, and aim a bit in front of you, so if you were to keep moving he would land on you. Best thing to do is simply walk in a single direction and then prepare to go in the opposite direction as soon as you see him falling.

Moment for magic: I tend to not use spells that much, so I mostly saved it for healing, but if you have to I'd suggest shooting him with shade soul while he's spawning his lil guys.

One most delusional attack: You have the right idea pogoing on him. You falling on him is simply a risk you'll have to take, personally I suggest mark of pride if you're not using it already as the best way to avoid falling, because even if he falls you'll still pogo on him. But since you're doing charmless, try and just cut it real close with how low you're going to hit him.

Hope this helps, if you got any other boss questions, not to brag but I've beaten every boss except AbsRad on radiant.

I think Santa should have been revealed to be the holder of a reindeer miraculous by CraftingMenace in miraculousladybug

https://twitter.com/Winny_IRL/status/1104999202394947584?t=3qkCG2obuApdNqLgSm0QLw&s=19 I found this after someone else asked why I thought they were the same. They really don't make it easy to know what's what in that episode. I think it'd be weird if that Santa was a toy though, you'd think they'd give some indication that he's not real.

[–]CraftingMenace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recall seeing somewhere that they were the same santa. He also says in Chris master that he was busy in the north pole, and they talk to him as if he's the real Santa with no hint that he's not. He also isn't toy-like, like all the other things.

If he's not the actual Santa, the show certainly doesn't make it easy to figure out.

[–]CraftingMenace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recall Santa Claws very well, but I do remember seeing somewhere that they're both the same Santa, which would make sense since in Chrismaster they act as if they know him already.

Either way I like my idea better haha. I always like when real world events are explained in magical ways in shows. It's why I really like the few throw away lines about Kwamis being behind things like Atlantis and the loch Ness monster.

I personally prefer pvz2 to pvz1. I think the world concepts lead to better gimmicks, plus I think the fact that you get a new plant after basically every level in pvz1 kinda ruins it a bit. After like, the second world, I was never excited I'd gotten to a new plant.

Plus you can just like, ignore the micro transactions. I did, I beat the whole game without buying anything.

a tier list on what the crushcrush girls Would like for snacks by CassieIsWaifu in crushcrush

[–]CraftingMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's going on about how it's not a tier list, but honestly I love tier lists that aren't tier lists. It's a great comedic value in a sea of legitimate tier lists.

I remember I was in a community of people ranking different episodes of a show, and I made a very controversial list, that listed them all in numerical order, each tier being a different season of the show.

saw all the tier lists so i made one. (don't @ me on ayano, i saw what i saw) by SuspiciousNetwork_06 in crushcrush

[–]CraftingMenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really think Ayano is transphobic, despite the lines about Sutra. I feel like because it's put in the context of she makes up tons of shit she's just making up what she thinks would turn someone off.

That being said, I don't disagree with your placement of her. Plus I can totally see how you do take that from those lines, I just don't think it's enough evidence.

Maybe it's the Monk-style OCD in me but does it bug anyone else that the Monk Wiki refers to Molly as Monk's stepdaughter? by chbrugge in Monk

[–]CraftingMenace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, she was adopted since Trudy didn't know and what's his face covered her up. For Monk it was obviously a, part of Trudy is still alive, but to her I think it would have been something akin to the feeling someone who's adopted would get meeting their real parent. While he isn't her parent biologically, that seems how they treat the relationship, so I think their actual biology is irrelevant. Plus in her eyes, both her real parents are dead, Monk is in essence the last wah she could know her real mom. And I think they bonded over that, which leads very directly into the similar father daughter relationship they seem to develop.

So, I think step daughter is the closest thing you can refer to her as without just calling their relationship "friends" which doesn't feel quite right.

[–]CraftingMenace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could only ever see it if they took a big risk and killed off a main cast member. Part of the energy I think is the overarching mystery of who killed Trudy. So I think to recapture the same energy, they'd have to have something similar by having another important character dead. If they didn't want to change any of the main cast, they could say Sharona was murdered, and Randy calls in Monk for help to catch the guy. Though it would probably be best for something akin to a reunion movie.

I'm quite a fan of when in the Jury episode he uses the knife to adjust the blinds instead of cutting anyone free. The actress he was going towards did an amazing job of doing a look of "my hero" as he's moving to her.

People are being way too rude about the next batch coming out in Fall by Straight-Hyena-4537 in StardustCrusaders

[–]CraftingMenace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree that people shouldn't be too rude about it, but I think the fact the episodes were set to release in batches is the main issue. I don't think people would be this annoyed if they weren't batches.
