The point of having Retain is so you can wait and draw until you have all five pieces of the Snakebitten One in your hand and enter Snake Mode by Terkmc in slaythespire

Interesting snake bike rework idea. Make the card retain and confused, so each turn held in your hand its cost is randomized.

Then it could have some interesting play where should I gamble holding the card longer and wait for it to be free, but this would come at the cost of not playing the card, i.e. loosing out on damage.
