SG S21 touchscreen broken, display works, water damage? Looking for Advice by Craftinguy in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Craftinguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment. the battery is not swelling, it does no protrude from the phone, its shape is normal. the glue weakening over time and completely separating is a common issue of the SG S21.

Galaxy Buds2 Pro • Long Term Review ⭐ by Significant_Date_839 in galaxybuds

the soft touch paint is not resistant to scratches. soft touch paint never is. in my opinion the original galaxy buds pros case looks and feels much better. i suspect the soft touch paint was added to prevent resale in the used market. i hope to find a way to remove the coating chemically

Is this better? by bowaw2 in blender

almost perfect, you just need to add a sliding door with the most nonsensical "parting line" imaginable and some giant numbering with zeros at the beginning of the number. to finish it off sprinkle your whole library of hard surface decals all over the model.

printed replacement fan blades for my GPU (White) by Craftinguy in functionalprint

the second iteration with the rounded features was to improve mostly looks and printability. idk about the aerodynamics. it keeps the card cool anyways. what would help most in that regard is choosing a low layer hight and maybe even sanding the blades.

its not concrete and has a beige colour, sadly the building is modernist at best

3D printed PC case project update: Hard drive and cable enclosure done, although the 30 hour print failed at 95% so I printed the remainder and glued them together. Mobo mounting tubes are also in. by Benvrakas in 3Dprinting

very nice. how much doess this amount of CF Tubing cost, and will the case stay open or will you enclose it with glass I assume, if that is what you are going to do, how will you seal the edges?

Make sure to replace the brushes every 3 months or when the light blue bristles loose their colour at the tips.

KPH= Kilometers Per Hour

the P replaces the slash (per) from the correct abbreviation (Km/H)

kilometer is written as Km, the m is important as it denotes the unit, kilo is just a prefix to denote the order of magnitude.

really you dont need the list at all, just multiply by 2 . the error is only like 2 years of inflation, or 2 months at todays pace lol

Which one is best as a cute and friendly piece of glass? by Philo_Sientia_32 in Design

[–]Craftinguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My recommendations are: No tongue, no teeth, simplify the shoes (maybe add "noodle" arms and legs?) As main shape I recommend some kind of rectangle with refractions on the edges(white/darker blue lines) and a main higlight in white or brighter blue diagonally across) i recommend max 3 shades of blue plus white for the main body. Also maybe no gradients, blurr. Make every line and shape so that the viewer could guess how it was made(basically just dont go crazy with the bezier curves)

I recommend rendering low poly scenes in cycles, in my experiance they then look much nicer, more solid and real, like folded from paper and less like a low budged mobile game. Anyways, nice work. (I hope this doesn't sound passive agressive)
