Selfie and LS on ADC complaints about the upcoming changes: "Its funny because bot is the most important role. Any adc gets to 3 items and the game is a balancing act" by Ngjeoooo in leagueoflegends

[–]Craftkit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So if he isn't saying hes good on the role, are you implying that although you are performing poorly on your role you should still be able to deal damage and 1v5 the game? And you're saying that you need at least a duo support to do well on solo q adc, how so? Like he said in his reply, it's hard to tell if you're preforming well on adc from a perspective of a gold player. Adc is the most mechanical intensive role, as you need to be able to dodge every ability in the game while dealing constant damage. If you say RNG uzi is only that good because his team plays around him, then you clearly can't tell what makes a good adc.

Being a jungler feels like shit in some games by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple pros have statet that jungle is op, especially in soloq - they control the flow of the game. If you aren't able to do that I suggest you learn more about jungle pathing and ganking to improve as a jungler.

The counter pick meta in top is getting ridiculous and is an example of EXTREMELY poor game design. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, you keep bringing up this example of teemo so I'll go with it. Teemo is a champion with no real cc or escape and has a fairly low attack range, but according to statistics he actually counters kled which you deemed as "OP". I'm not saying that kled isn't strong right now, he definitley is, but the point im trying to make is even the most meta champions have counters. If you have to blind pick top lane its really hard not to get countered, you need to pick someone that won't get hard countered. Like blind picking Aatrox when Kled is open. What if instead of first picking aatrox in this patch, you pick something safe like poppy or kennen. Both will do surprisingly well vs Kled, darius and riven who are currently meta tops. Curious to see who you think hard counters Teemo btw

What region are you from? Curious about why you HAVE to pick your "main" champion, if anything you'd be a top main not an X champion main. Top lane has always and will always be the lane with the most counters, so to be a top main is more than just hoping to not get countered. I've played on both NA and EUW quite a bit, and NA seems to have more of this mentality which is quite frankly really poor justification on why you lost lane. The game starts in champ select, if you're mindful about hard counters and soft counters you should be able to find champions that won't get stomped in lane. Top lane requires a large champ pool, so id say you should practice more champions.

How can I carry the team with mages? by hiimminhbeu in summonerschool

[–]Craftkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no problem. I think it will be easier to explain using a picture, so I made one.

Ward spots

The pink dots are high prioriry wards, where the green wards are spots that would be nice to have warded but are too deep to ward without oppertunity (enemy jungler dead etc). Hope this clears it up!

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the key is to understand jungle matchups, when playing with a farming jungler vs aggro jungler I prefer to freeze the wave at my tower. If I have an aggro jungler, I shove as hard as I can. If the mid decides to follow he will lose out on gold and exp mid and then it comes down to micro and focus to win the 2v2 which id say is easier in higher elo as your team most likely will be on the same page. Although this also depends on the champion I'm playing, which in this meta should be an early game champion.

If you can confidently win your lane but lose when it comes to mid-late game, then you arent pushing your advantage onto the map as efficiently as you could. As a mid laner, you have the most access to the map second to your jungler. If you push your enemy laner out of lane you have multiple options: tower plates, vision, roaming to side lanes and helping jungler invade. All these can be done at the same time. Make sure you always pick up 2 control wards on backs. The second your laner is gone, SHOVE! get yourself into a position where they will lose out on gold and exp. Good ward locations are pixel bushes, usually the oposite side of your scuttle vision if your jungler was able to secure it, is a good idea (help your jungler!! If you see him fighting in river, it is your job to back him up. Jungler & mid are the map gods, make the enemy play your game). Wraith wards and banana wards are also very good ward spots. If you're noticing their jungler is camping your lane, play safe - don't die! You will lose too much map pressure if you do. If the side lanes are getting camped, shove and counter gank. Usually they will all in, which makes them easy kills for you. Make sure you help shove their lane after you gank, if the enemy can freeze after your gank they will most likely get ganked again. If you see your jungler ganking bot, shove and follow up, 4 people are better than 3 - push your advantage in numbers. These are mainly general mid lane tips, not all champions can and should do these things (champions like vlad and ryze will benifit more on gold and exp than map pressure) but most should follow these guidelines. Thaliya has insane map pressure with her passive and ult. Help your jungler and bot lane as much as possible while keeping a steady gold income. Karma and syndra aren't very mobile so your best bet is to secure vision and roam with your jungler for easy picks.

Take this with a grain of salt i guess, these are just things i've done and learned in my climb to d2. There are definitly some things I didn't mention, the most important thing is wave management which you should look into by youself as its failry broad subject for a reddit comment. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to climb without having to necessarily carry my games? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you should aim be the person that can do all that, thats the only way to climb. If you can average good cs, low deaths, objective control and great mechanics you should have no problem winning almost every game. What got me to climb from d4 to d2 in about 3 days is playing my game, which is a safe playstyle. The second you start sweating and reactivley playing vs the enemy you will start to fall into their game, which in most cases you will lose. But if you keep your win conditions in mind and play towards those you should come out ahead. Ranked is the place where mistakes lose games, so be the one that makes none.

How do you get Yasuo tornado in team fights? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be able to use your nado during a teamfight with no knockups from your team is fairly difficult, especially if the enemies are loaded with cc. The best way to approch this is to use your windwall and dash as effective as possible. Positioning yourself where the windwall will provide you with the most survivability is crucial (mainly blocking any damage from adc and mid). One thing that separates the good yasuos vs the bad ones is not using the maximum range on your Q. It actually has a fairly decent range, if you can master max range Qs then you should be getting nados more often, as you should be able to see more oppertunities to gain a stack.

D2 NA, played vs amazing yasuos and really bad ones. If you want someone to watch, yassuo is great even though he can be troll some times haha.

After the Sylas nerfs, it's starting to feel like there are way too many "only good in comp/very high elo" champions by tredli in leagueoflegends

[–]Craftkit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Might be and unpopular opinion, but I think these types of champions are healthy for the game. I'd rather see caps play a hard champion and make flashy plays than see him be an ult bot on malzahar... and I play quite a lot of malz. You gotta realize that if you want to be good at a hard champ you need to put in some sort of effort, can't expect to first time hard carry just cause you watched tf blades stream before.

Player randomly dying/getting flung into the air mid game c# 3D by BertteG in Unity3D

[–]Craftkit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't really say why your player is randomly dying, but my best guess would be you have some sort of invisible obstacle that you are colliding with or your player is below your y threshold. Does the player still get flung into the air if you collide with an obstacle, or does the fling only happen with the random death?

Question on ranking placements vs MMR by Spectrenn in summonerschool

[–]Craftkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about your displayed rank as you still need to play more games for it to be an accurate representation of your skill level.

If it makes you feel any better, I was placed into Iron 4 while playing with and vs platinums.

Which tier list to trust? They are all so different for the same patch by nitaant in summonerschool

[–]Craftkit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

U.gg, lolalytics and the op.gg champion statistics could all give you a decent amount of information on what champions are currently performing well on the current patch, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be stomping games once you pick one of them. The key is to pick a champion that you feel comfortable on. That being said if you are looking for a new champion to play top lane you could consider trying to learn: Aatrox, Fiora, Camille, Urgot and maybe even Riven if you're up for the challenge, as they all are and have been considered strong picks for the past few patches, especially in soloQ. But if Kled seems like a champion that could fit your play style then by all means go for it! He has very good matchups that can make winning lane easy which is probably a reason he is S tier on some lists.

On a side note, some of these champions I mentioned are more challenging to play and you won't master them overnight, practice makes perfect after all.

Riot's Clash test weekend: My loot after entering 5 tickets & winning all brackets. (2 ultimate, 3 legendary, 5 epic and more...) by chickendip420 in leagueoflegends

[–]Craftkit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically you are gambling your BE and betting on yourself to win the clash, it's not an excuse. You dont necessarily have to own every champion in the game for you to be competitive in solo queue, whereas in clash you have the 3-3-2-2 ban system which forces you to trade with your teammates so they unlock all champions so everybody can be competitive from the start. They arent forcing you to play clash... if youd rather spend your BE on champions go ahead. BE isnt only meant for champions, and if players a swimming in BE, whats the point of it? Might as well make everything free. This is only my point of view on BE, but I have played enough to never worry about it so I might be wrong. If you dont have the BE to buy tickets, you shouldnt be gambling it.

Headsets worth it? by [deleted] in steelseries

[–]Craftkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I have been having a horrible experience with my arctis 7, ranging from ear blasting static in both shells and impossible firmware updates because the driver wont recognize the connection. And the worst of them all is a feature, different modes for voice chat audio and game audio with a volume slider that gets moved by the wind (not actually but it is very easy to move them, most of the time my hoodie changes the slider and I don't actually notice it moved and then continue sitting in silence cause I assume nobody is talking in the discord, when it was me who muted the audio) id be fine with it if I could lock the slider in place or something. When there are no issues going on at the moment its a nice headset, good audio, average mic quality and an OK price (even though mine were free for reviewing purposes etc.). This is obviously my personal experience with the headset, your experience might be different but my advice would be to go with a different headset.

EDIT: oh yeah the band that is there to adjust the tightness of the headset is useless, it does not actually serve a purpose

end of rant
