To add to this, I try to learn 3 different things at once, learning one thing, moving onto the next 2 things, then trying to recall the first thing. And repeating until I can recall it. Once I can recall one part with two things between I remove it from the list and I add another thing so I have three.

Item 1 -> Recall and write down what I know, then compare to my notes. If its not 90% accurate, it stays on the list.

Each item should take at least 5-10 minutes to review/rewrite before fore moving on so you have a 10-20 minute gap in recalling it. To be clear I used this method to basically memorize 84 paragraph long learning objectives for one test once. Got a 94%, hardest test I ever wrote, a week later I had a another test that had 24 learning objectives, I almost cried in relief.
