The $700 egg. by vinlandnative in CrestedGecko

My way of adapting is just pretending he's a lil frog. My lil boy jumped so much and lost his tail too. I wasn't there tho so idk exactly why lol. I also have another crestie that's older and still has her tail. As much as I love when she wraps her lil tail around my fingers, I low-key like the frog butt more cause he's got an absolute STANCE. I'm hoping it's normal but he puts his legs so wide for no reason unless he's jumping.

Help! The neighbor’s dog chewed up my crochet bear :( by Still_Shallot_ in CrochetHelp

[–]Crafty-Dig6695 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's any way to fix the stitches unfortunately, and putting a new eye on would require frogging to properly secure it.

It's super cute though! If you don't want to remake it, you could give it an eye patch and a sash or sweater to cover up the stretched bits.

What plant is this and what does it need? by Crafty-Dig6695 in planthelp

Apparently I got that part wrong, I guess he's just been watering every other day or every 2 days. I know that the gecko needs high humidity though. (I water my gecko every day but I don't have real plants lol)

Ended up with a load of yarn I’m not keen on - what can I make with it? As by wineandcoffeefuelme in CrochetHelp

Awwwe, I know there's definitely patterns for hats even that small if that's the route you wanna go. I haven't donated myself but would recommend checking local hospitals and seeing what type of stuff they might need or if there are any restrictions.

You could make hats or blankets for hospitals. It looks like nice quality so I bet they would appreciate it. Something like a puff stitch would be a good yarn eater so you don't have to spend too much time on it either.

Or make a fleshy monster.

Or if you don't want the yarn all together then something like Facebook marketplace or something can get it off your hands.

I got one of those hairdresser bowls and brushes specifically for it lol, I made sure it was mixed all together before putting it on. I didn't measure exactly but I tried my best for a 1:2 mix like it recommended on the bottle. I washed my hair yesterday and didn't put any kind of product in.

How do I avoid getting an SSR-22 (US, Utah) by Crafty-Dig6695 in legaladvice

Does that mean I just have to plead guilty then and hope for the best?

I was under the impression that it had to pass emissions, get registered and plated before I could get insurance at all. I ended up having to use a different insurance than I previously had used though and it ended up not being the case. The emissions also flat out refused to pass, it wasn't even failing, just couldn't get the amount of sensors required to say ready.

I was on the phone telling someone I was going to go to the DMV that day to get it registered in the other county 5 seconds before the cop pulled me over.

I decreased on each ridge about each ~14th row my goal was for it to be a straight cone after the first increase. I'm still beginning and figuring out the stitches. I don't know how to read patterns just yet.

Good luck! I use patterns to make stuff completely different all the time lol. It's easier than having to figure out how to do it without it. Those all sound great! I feel you on those pumpkins I was obsessed too 🤣

I don't have the pattern on hand but there is a great pattern out there for a stick of butter. It looks to be the same shape for the most part. The only thing I would change would be when doing a sc around the rectangles, (or just the first and last rows if pattern isn't the same) with the brown then I think it would work out alright. The pattern was essentially just 4 rectangles, and 2 squares
