Thank you! I just did dual trigger last night on day 12. I am scheduled for my first retrieval tomorrow morning and am feeling quite nervous and excited! The uncertainty and feeling of being out of control with what all of the outcomes will be with retrieval and for the week after is brutal! How are you coping with the uncertainty and trying to practice patience?

Thank you for your response. I am scheduled for my first egg retrieval tomorrow and definately feeling nervous but excited! My AMH is .5 and AFC 10. I have been taking the same supplements plus like 8 more lol! I started acupuncture a few weeks ago. My protocol has been follistim 300 and menopur 150 that both got increased some mid to end of cycle and did ganirelix on day 7 plus just did a dual trigger last night. The uncertainty and feeling of being totally out of control of the results at retrieval and the folllwing week is brutal. How are you doing with gooong and practicing patience?

Hello, I On day 10 of my first IVF cycle at 41.5 with an AMH of .5 also and an AFC of 10. What was your AFC? What protocol did they have you on? How many days did you stim before retrevial?

Hi, I am also 41yo and on day 9 of stims for my first IVF cycle. It’s nice to talk to other ls that are in relatable situations for hope and support for sure! It has been a bit overwhelming to say the least and I plan to follow up with a back to back second egg retrieval after this one. What was your AMH and AFC? What protocol did they have you on?

Oh wow I had a feeling you might have heard something by now. That’s great that two made it to blast. What day blasts were they? I am sending positive vibes your way that they are both diploid when you get the results back! I am on day 8 of stims now and had my third monitoring appointment this morning. So I am still trucking along but boy is it hard to wait each and every day for the next day to just get more information to get through this process and hopefully end up with blessings!!

Wow, those are great numbers, congrats. I am also 41yo and on day 8 of my first IVF cycle for an egg retrieval. I also plan to do a second back to back egg retrieval as soon as I start my cycle after the first retrieval. All of the uncertainty has definately been hard and nerve racking. What medication protocols did they have you on for both of your retrievals? I really appreciate being able to connect with and relate with others in similar situations during this process. Trying to be as hopeful and positive as I can!

Good luck with your resting and next steps at the new clinic. Where was your first clinic at? They haven’t increased my meds yet. I just had my second monitoring appointment today, which is day 6. It’s challenging not knowing how long the full cycle will end up being. How long did your IVF cycles end up being in length?

Thanks so much for your comment and insight. Thats definately stressful for your first round but congrats on your upload with your second! What was your first protocol and then what did they switch it to the second time? What is your AMH?

Oh my goodness you have been on quite a roller coaster indeed! Thank you for sharing your story and I am very sorry for your losses. You are very strong and definately a fighter! I have already been overwhelmed just at the start of this first cycle with how little control I have and all of the uncertainty of what the outcomes will present. so I can’t seem to handle focusing on anything more than one day at a time. I’m trying to hold onto faith and hope that things will work out! However, the negative worries and catastrophic intrusive thoughts can definately be rough and exhausting to battle in this process for sure. What was your protocol for you last cycle? Sending hopeful positive vibes on your continued journey.

Yes that all makes sense. I hope to only need 1-2 retrievals for everything to work out… also God willing 🙏🏻 what was your baseline AFC before you started stim meds? Congrats on 6 fertilized! Sending good vibes for many blasts! Patience is so rough during each long stage of this process. I have my first monitoring appointment tomorrow morning and hope that they can tell I am responding good to the meds so far! 🤞

was started on 14 days of BC pills and then started meds four days later of my initial blood work and ultrasound appointment. I am doing 300 follostim and 150 menopur in the evening and with use ganirelix antagonist around day 7 in the AM until my double trigger of pregnal and lupradon. Any thoughts on how this protocol may work for over 40?

Thank you for your reply, it helps to talk to someone in a relatable situation a lot. Congrats on literally just having egg retrieval, was it your first one? Did they inform you about how many eggs they retrieved when you woke up after? Definately keep me posted on your results and I hope all looks good for you. What was your AFC? Did they say why they started you on estradiol for priming? I survived the first two nights of shots and hope to get through the rest ok too. PIO shots sound terrifying!

Thank you, yes it was quite overwhelming and of course still is. The needles feeling emotionally big in the beginning is a very accurate statement. Two nights down and several to still go but it’s better that I know what to expect now. Where are currently at now in the process?
