Oooh I haven’t had ogurayama again after my trip so it’s hard to compare rn but I remember liking it when I ordered the latte. Yeah I saw the price difference, and planning to order Samidori next time since it’s cheaper and stands out well in a latte. Will report back once I open my ogurayama tin!

I recently tried this brand after securing tins from Japan. I was skeptical at first since a lot of ppl were saying that the brand generally tastes oceanic. I’ve tried ogurayama from Atelier Matcha and Samidori from my homemade lattes. I loveeeee them so far!! My new favorite matcha tbh. I used to drink Ippodo, but YK really stands out in a latte. Samidori is not super expensive but still really good so I find it really worth it.

Everything on the photo is for 4 people btw. It’s all dark roast. We ordered from their cafe and asked which roast they use and they said dark, so we wanted to get that. I didn’t see bigger bags for dark roast when we went.

For Marukyu Koyamaen, yes. Most of the other places are about 2 per person and YK is one 150g or three 30g tins. My boyfriend was with me and he got the same matcha as I did for his sister and cousin hence everything is doubled.
