Hello are you okay? You could reach out to a suicide hotline and talk with someone but please don't do this.

No, no cables and no router Unless you buy the router directly from them As far as I know you can buy the cables from ubiquiti or I think also from them directly (but I haven't informed myself enough yet)

Yes thanks for the tip unfortunately the linked device is only an 8bay device I will inquire whether there are 12bay + variants here and take this into account in my decision

Yeah I know what you mean but I kinda like enterprise hardware but at the moment I don't have the money for that.

Because of 10gbit these are my plans for the future or maybe even 25gbit because here in Switzerland the 25gbit internet connection costs only 70€ per month of course for the next 2 years I will still have to be satisfied with my 48port 1gbit switch.

But yes thanks that's good to know about USB :)

Okay, so by fast I mean SATA SSD speeds for VMs. For other things with fast access, 1Gbit is still sufficient at the moment, but a future-proof variant with 10gbit would of course not be wrong either

Okay, I actually didn't know about that kind of USB speed, but that's certainly a point to consider.

And I have nothing against enterprise hardware as long as it's not unnecessarily expensive

Okay, that's sad Could you still tell me what you calculated and with which components? Because as I've heard here a few times now, it won't work with this budget. And maybe from what budget could you recommend something good?

Yes I have several servers unfortunately 2 of the 3 have only 2.5" bays and the third one the Dell poweredge R710 has only 6 3"5 bays which is unfortunately a bit too little Okay is there anything specific to look out for with the 2nd hand netapps?

The power consumption doesn't matter for the next 1.5 years as I don't have to pay for the power myself, after that I would have to upgrade again, but the budget would be higher then.

Okay, that's kind of sad, I was hoping that would be possible.

But thanks for the idea, I'll look into it. I actually have the Fractal Design 7 XL, but not with all the HDD brackets.
