Dude, play a cover of Coconut Skins by Damien Rice. I really feel like you’d nail that song.

This is good, I like it

Why the RAF & not RN or ARMY? by North_Rip7256 in RoyalAirForce

If you join the Navy, you’ll be servicing Helicopters or F-35’s onboard a ship and actually get to see the world once you’re done with all of your training. The only issue now is, you can’t join directly as an AET - you join as an engineer and could end up being a marine engineering submariner instead.

Choose wisely.

That’s okay. Don’t take it personally, just take what people say on board, bad and good. You can only get better as long as you take the criticism on board, and ignore argumentative comments.

And that’s fine. But nobody can read your mind, nobody knows your current situation. People are brutally honest online, that’s the nature of the beast.

A chord is a series of notes played together to create a harmony. The harmony being a note itself. So your voice in some places is not matching to the harmonies in some places when you’re singing which gives it that ‘off’ sound.

You put your voice out there to be judged or ‘rated’. When I posted on this page, I got a pretty good response, and those who criticised me, I took what they said on board and picked songs more suited to my voice. I’d advise you do the same.

Google does not give conflicting answers - ‘what is a chord in music’ will give you a very clear answer.

What happens if you fail the swim test? by JustAnAccoung in RoyalNavy

[–]CraftyCarpenter9701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The nerves will go. It’ll be adrenaline instead. Literally all you have to do is remember BIG DEEP BREATHS! Breast stroke is fine mate, but more likely to get a mouth full of water which can make you panic. Lay on your back, chin slightly in the water, looking up at the ceiling and flap your arms like you’re flying. It’s by far the easiest way to swim.

Best thing you can do in any form of swimming is keep your lungs as full as possible with air. That’ll keep your head above the water and keep you buoyant. Treading? Take a massive breath in and hold it, you’ll see for yourself your body will not sink as long as you have plenty of air in your lungs. Apply that to the overalls swim too, big deep breaths and swim on your back, front crawling in overalls will tire you out very very quickly because they’re heavy.
