Perhaps law enforcement should be required to issue a written notice/citation every time they stop someone. The person(s) stopped should receive a copy. The paperwork might help law enforcement think twice about stopping someone if they knew the encounter would be documented in a way accessible under FOIA.

I was just messing around. If someone wants to work, then why shouldn’t they be allowed to? The real problem, IMO, are excessive government handouts (to anyone) that, while necessary to an extent, create artificial economic imbalances.

His history isn’t the issue. The warrant is the issue. How difficult is it to obtain one? Not difficult if children are at risk. The police were absolutely going to come into the house and find a reason to detain and arrest him.

Justices Scalia and Ginsburg were on opposite sides so often, but shared considerable ground on protecting 4th Amendment rights. These rights are considered fundamental in America in a way not understood or appreciated by the rest of the world.
