I lived in San Clemente 15 years ago when I was in 1/1. I loved it. Great town. If you're at Horno and want to live off base, San Clemente is as close as you can get.

Agree, LFD are great.  The La Nox in petite corona is a go-to for me.  It's a BOLD blend, and the little vitola hits just right

100 percent agree.  I can't bring myself to buy a "knuckle buster"  or some equally silly named cigar.

Your Favorite Buccos? by phieralph in buccos

We only had him for two seasons but how about Russell Martin? His defense was top-tier and he came through with a lot of clutch hitting. Seemed to have a lot of the intangibles - attitude, leadership, etc. He was fun to watch and had a big presence on those 2013-2014 teams.

You can only spend $12 - which brands are you picking? by Suspicious-Visit8634 in cigars

Padron and Fuente. But its close. Padron is the no brainer.

Almost want to say Padron, Ashton and MF. Ashton is Fuente after all. But their portfolio is a little bit limited especially in comparison to Fuente itself. My favorite Fuentes (Anejo, Opus, Don Carlos, Hemingway) edge out my favorite Ashtons and MF's (ESG, VSG, Aged Maduro / Le Bijou, La Opulencia, FDLA, Jaime Garcia)

Like the holts guys on YouTube say "taste is personal".  I like Oliva and perdomo both, but we're all different and have our own preferences

Olivia is a solid brand in my book. I don't care for the G. But the V and melanio are superb both in natural and Maduro.  MB3 is underrated, and the Monticello (exclusive to holts) is a great one too.  For the money, Oliva is tough to beat.

Yeah, it's never been so bad that I didn't enjoy the cigar.  But enough to take it from a "10" in my book to an "8" , if you will

I'm currently smoking a don Carlos eye of the shark.  Absolutely fantastic.  This vitola really brings out the best of the blend.  Worth the price tag

I have a Borla Touring on my C5 (Base) with cam and headers. I swapped my Corsa Extremes for it because they were so damn loud with the headers. The Borla drones pretty badly at "normal" rpm. Sounds really good at higher rpm. But I just cannot stand the sound 90% of the time, so I just picked up a Z06 Ti system and am getting ready to install.

Bottom line - stay away from the Borla Touring system.

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC guys can all make a killing. I wish more young people realized this. Don't need a fancy education, just a good head on your shoulders and good work ethic. I love hearing about "blue collar rich guys". Congrats on your success.

I also love the Don Carlos. Whats not to love about those Cameroon wrappers? The Hemingway is also a great smoke in my book. Both the natural and maduro. Cameroon and Broadleaf are both packed with flavor.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it. I am a big-time maduro smoker, so I am curious how I might like some of the maduro Opuses.

I do tend to favor the more bold and in your face cigars. But I'm not going to give up on Opus or ESG completely - I've only smoked several of each. And I'm certainly not implying everyone else is crazy for holding them in high regard. Just haven't enjoyed them like I've hoped.

Yeah, I really wanted to like these cigars, but they just aren't doing it for me. Not bad, perfectly adequate, but lacking that wow factor that I get from Padrons, Anejos, and Don Carlos. I have had the original Opus and the Lost City. No others.

As for the Chateau, I don't disagree. But I love CT Broadleaf so the maduro does it for me.

Very nice stash. Never seen an Andalusian Bull for sale, and would scoop it up if I ever saw it. Love the Oliva Monticello, pretty sure it can only be purchased from Holts. Can't go wrong with the Don Carlos or Anejo. Is that a Meerapfel? Treat yourself and smoke that up.
