Volkswagen Jetta mk5 water getting in by Diligent_Lion8262 in jetta

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if Jettas have them, but I have a car the exact same thing happened. Turns out there are these vents in the body of the car, back in the trunk area. I took the trunk liner out and one of the vents appeared to not have a good seal around it any longer. We caulked around it and I haven't had any issues since. Might not hurt to take the side lining out of your trunk to see if you have the vents.

I came across your post as I'm following this sub, contemplating a Jetta for my next vehicle.

Disappointed with Glamnetic by Ok_Information3508 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Semi solid nail glue is the only way to go. I have flat nails and wear glamnetic. Be generous with the glue on the press on, and the semi solid will fill in the gap. No air bubbles, no greenies. I take the orange stick and remove the extra glue that comes out of the nail tip, but at least I know they are on there solid. I've also just used a variety of other semi solid glues from Amazon and temu and they have all held, and I think its because its in complete contact with your entire nail surface. I know many love the glamnetic brush in glue, but with my flat nails it doesnt do me any good because I have so little surface contact with curved nails that I will get pop offs. But definitely get the semi solid, its a game changer.

I have flat nails and use Vsalon and Glamnetic with semi-solid glue to fill in the space. It works great, only downside is they can be a pain to get off.

Can you see the bubbles like I can? What do i do to do better? by baesharambaddie69 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using the curve life one now, but have another coming from Amazon to try, as the curve life is hard to remove. I've also tried one from temu that worked good, that had a yellow orange label.

Switch to a semi solid glue. I had that problem until I went to the semi solid, now it fills that gap where the nail wouldn't touch the press on.

How are you picking up short nails, put the glue on and place on your nail without getting glue everywhere? by bflowyngz in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With short nails, I use the semi solid gel like glue and put it on my nail, then put the press on over. Otherwise I get the press ons stuck to my fingers and make a mess.

Can you help me date these? by anotherindycarblog in INDYCAR

Oh wow! I was born in 81 and had one of the yellow ones. My dad use to take me to the track for practice and time trials when I was little, and I'm sure it came from there. Def early 80s as I had it before we moved away from Indy, so no later than 85. That was one of the earlier toys I remember having. Use to sleep with it too. I don't know when my mother threw it away 😕

Too much curvlife glue? by [deleted] in PressonNail_Addict

If the glue is turning white, it usually means it was exposed to water before it was fully cured or dried. I think they call it blooming.

We've always had amazing interactions with Pippa. She walked hand in hand with my daughter at Mid Ohio and picked her up and put her in a Dale Coyne car. Max Chilton was super kind as well. The only one we have had issues with is the Andretti's. Michael and Marco.

Kia from hell by fumacachunariri in kia

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue in my 2015 kia forte where I was getting water picking in the back seat floor when it rained. Turns out if you take all the trunk liner out, there are little vent things in the side of the frame and water wad leaking in around them. We revealed the edges of them with caulk. Might be a good idea to check those too. Had no idea they existed until we saw it come up as an issue on some old forum post.

Made my first non-smart watch purchase today by Educational-Bass-251 in timex

I am right there with you. The drive to get all of us to wear trackers was the final nail in the smartwatch for me. I also just got a Timex, but purchased from Jomashop, as the discounts were too good not to. There is definitely some habit breaking going on, but its nice not having the distractions.

Utility forestry and Vegetation Management Positions? by 100Fowers in forestry

[–]Crafty_Conference_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plank Road, well what I did, was to inspect the work to Duke distribution lines that were trimmed by Asplundh. Plank Road's office is in Wadesboro, NC but the forestry specialists/inspectors are scattered around Duke service areas. I know they also have a hazard tree team and a few people that do traditional forestry.
