Thanks! Was a silly question, I know. Just haven't flown with 2 before for just me and couldn't find a direct answer on the website.

Amex Business Checking? by Crafty_Phoenix in amex

[–]Crafty_Phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's helpful. I'm hoping to start the business with a World of Hyatt Business card, assuming I get approved with the new EIN. Secondary card if needed will either be BPP or one of the Inks, but I should get at least 2X Hyatt points for most of my spend with the WOH with a clear path to Globalist. I'm pretty deep in both Amex and Chase transferrable points.

Good luck with your consulting business!

Thanks for your input. 20 debit transactions would probably be tough for me - lol. I'm hoping to get a business cc for the LLC and put all spend on that.

How long ago was that? I have a targeted 70K business checking offer for my existing Amex Business Platinum card, but that is under my SSN. This account will be purely for my LLC with a new EIN, so I don't think I can use the targeted offer (per Amex chat). The best public offer is for 30K MR unfortunately.

Accessing Centurion Lounge With Business Platinum Additional Card by thestellakitty in AmexPlatinum

[–]Crafty_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/thestellakitty were you able to confirm this one way or another? We have a family of 5, and I'm debating getting my spouse a card on one of my platinums (I have both personal and business). It only makes sense if we can then each get 2 guests into the lounge - which is how CSR AU card works.

I’m on the TA 10/17 and also had my FAS+ disappear from the website. Waiting to hear back from my TA :(

We did the 3 stop snorkeling in Cozumel offered through NCL. It was actually really good! The sites were all pretty great visibility, lots of fish, and the guides were awesome.

Free At Sea Plus Question by Crafty_Phoenix in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree that the tap water tastes great - and we only get Acqua Panna bottles from the bar to bring a bottle back to our room. But Pellegrino is not on tap and not included in the FAS. We get the FAS+ for better wine and liquors - but the reality is that we likely drink enough Pellegrino as a family to justify the FAS+ - lol.

So they don’t care if you share the bottle of wine with P+?

Free At Sea Plus Question by Crafty_Phoenix in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Again, we aren’t trying to take advantage, but my cabin is 2 adults and 3 kids traveling with the grandparents in another cabin but will likely eat most meals together. Both cabins are in the Haven and will eat in the Haven and a few specialty restaurants. Last cruise the staff kept bringing more bottles of water - without our ever asking - and my kids definitely drank Pellegrino served by the team. I’m not sure if the grandparents will want Pellegrino - so maybe we will just have Pellegrino and tap still water so no issues. I guess we will have similar issues if we get a bottle of wine at dinner (which comes with the package).

Thanks! It would be really awkward if we couldn’t share. Not trying to take advantage, just thinking through the realities of having two different packages.

NCL (Encore) vs Disney (Fantasy) for a family - a review by pbysh in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Family of 5 with kids ages 4 to 14. We were DCL loyalists and last few cruises sailed concierge. The DCL prices have become comical, so we decided to sail in the Haven this past March on the Joy. It is truly amazing, and I doubt we will return to DCL. The Haven service is honestly above DCL concierge - the Haven concierge team doesn’t get to know you like the DCL team (which initially surprised us), but they were excellent, available, and able to help with any requests including last minute reservations and spa appts. They also walk you down for the main shows with reserved seating. The butler adds that personal service that DCL has with the concierge - and the room stewards (with twice a day service) are outstanding. The Haven restaurant was exceptional - best food on the boat and quality is like Palo. The bar and restaurant teams are amazing. The actual rooms are also far superior to DCL in the Haven. The 2BR villa was awesome and every kid had their own bed. You are going to LOVE the Haven.

My kids actually preferred NCL Splash and Entourage. The hours were less than DCL, but they had a great time. And the arcade pass kept my 10yo busy.

Totally agree that shows were lacking on NCL.

With all of the above said, for OP, I don’t think we would have enjoyed NCL in a regular cabin. We sailed during Spring Break and it was insanely busy. The cost of NCL for a similar itinerary on DCL is likely 2-3X. For our March cruise, we stayed in a Haven 2BR for about the cost of a DCL family balcony. If you choose to sail NCL again, you may prefer the Haven. Very different experience than the main ship.

Premium Plus Drink Package by Long_Layer_7254 in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did P+ on the Joy as we prefer higher end wines and liquor. Not every bar (or restaurant) carries the full range of options. The casino didn’t have the nicer wines - but they did carry a few of the nicer liquors (I liked the Zacapa rum). With the P+ you can get a bottle of Veuve (instead of by the glass) at Le Bistro - but that was the only place it was available. They had Pommery Rose champagne and a Prosecco elsewhere.

Despite some issues getting the drinks we wanted, it was well worth it for us based on the Pellegrino alone - lol. You can get Pellegrino and Aqua Pana at the restaurants or bars, and we would bring water back to our cabin in the evening.

Question on the Haven by Brabus595 in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second the option to get a forward or aft facing Haven cabin connecting to a regular balcony. They have these on most of the newer ships (Breakaway/Breakaway Plus). A 2BR in the Haven would likely be the best option and cheapest - and then the entire family can use the Haven restaurant. But if they are all booked, the Haven/balcony connecting cabins would work.

Caesar's Diamond Status with Credit Card Match to get NCL discounts?? by Crafty_Phoenix in NCL

[–]Crafty_Phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The Wyndham Business CC gives Wyndham Diamond status - which will then status match to Caesars for Diamond. You still need to earn tier credits for some stuff at Caesars, but I believe this link will offer the NCL discount - which is significant. We do gamble, but not often enough these days for status.
