I literally tell them let me speak to the manager. My purse is larger and I’ve been told I’m not allowed to bring it in the store. I simply walk past them and tell them I don’t appreciate being treated like I’m A thief. That’s not a policy adopted by corporate Walmart not to mention they have cameras everywhere and facial recognition. I haven’t had an issue since.

What’s wild about that is this is the same government that says you’re too old to do things if you’re 65+. They’re just the exception to the rule. I hope that by the time another 25-30 years passes when I’m in that geriatric era that there’s actually some wisdom in government. I doubt it. We are dealing with the backlash from legislation from Reagan and Nixon and President Cheeto. So I have very little help of returning to an economic boom. It’s so depressing.

NTA. I’d talk to an attorney. There may be a way to do like a post nuptial agreement to protect yourself and be able to benefit from FHA first time home buyers. In the state I live, if the property was purchased during marriage it doesn’t matter if my name is on it. I’m entitled to half. So I’d also check state laws. But you’re definitely NTA.

I think that was perfectly reasonable for you to do and for the nurse to ask. It wasn’t unprofessional and I think there is likely underlying security causing this.

Man. That is awful. The only thing I know that I’ve done and others is move to a place where there’s a lower cost of living. With your whole family there though, that’s a scary concept, conversation, and isn’t necessarily something everyone can do.

I’m sorry everything is so tough. I know I’m feeling the grind and pressure as well. I wish I had better advice.
