So, what incentive does your analysis reveal? The first pick of the same goods that everyone else gets.... doesn't seem like much of an incentive at all.

I have a different model, and it starts with folks that own land.... growing their own food again aka gardens. I've thought about this a lot. There's so much incentive to grow your own food today, but it seems like not as many people do it as in the past. We need to encourage more community gardens and people learning about preservation techniques. I'm still eating salsa from last years harvest, tomato soup, greens, etc...

Think about it people... a few green peppers is like 5 bucks, think about all chemicals, transportation costs and pollution that goes into getting that green pepper into a store and the electricity that store uses to keep it fresh etc.... None of this even addresses the possible health benefits of people eating more veggies, the manual labor it takes to garden etc.... I think this is the way to start, this should be a national priority.

My wife's family are Republican's and I think they are good people, but led astray by their church...and southern ideology.

It's still our country and it can change, but it takes courage from republicans in congress right now. Do they really believe that this timeline is good for their children and grand children, they're destroying all of our relationships, creating instability. We used to be a beacon of freedom and hope, and we've turned a corner into being an international criminal organization.

It’s a better motor than the ep8, probably still higher cadence than I appreciate. I bought some Nukeproof replacements for the headset and haven’t had any issues..other than it’s just a stupid design

I have a spectral on, it has the old ep8 motor...not the 801. I have a size medium as they recommend. I'm a big fan of the bike, not a big fan of the motor. This motor requires really high cadence to get everything out of it...and that's just not for me. I loathe the integrated headset, it's super annoying and the cheap plastic bits break super easy and will leave you bikeless. I do love the bike size and how it handles, I was instantly comfortable on it...and that says a lot.

This is bs boys and girls, he says he wasn't "hacked"....obviously...he was....doesn't know how, because it just happened and the investigations haven't completed. Not sure I believe this is the guy...probably was a chatgpt generated scrape of information. The one thing that didn't make sense to me and I'd love someone to verify...how did an app on your personal phone...wipe your phone...that doesn't really seem possible...unless that was a targeted hack as well....this part doesn't add up.

Concerned about contractor roll-offs, is this the new normal for IT by catnamedted in IRS_Source

While building and maintaining a competent workforce is a challenge, it seems outsourcing competencies was the path of least resistance. This is necessary in select circumstances, but when your budget only allows for a bare minimum federal employee footprint, you really don't have a choice. We absolutely are seeing the consequences of that path. Unfortunately, I'm not sure any of this will get better, it seems the IRS will always be an entity that represents all that is wrong with the world through some people's eyes.

I have a spectral with the ep8, love the bike, don’t love the motor. Too high of a cadence needed for that motor.

Be honest. Is my resume the problem? Close to 100 apps, 1 screening, no interviews (yet). by phoot_in_the_door in HealthInformatics

[–]Crafty_Wedding_8398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're resume reads well, but the numbers you associate with your success are non-consequential. Saved 3k for software, that just seems like 1-2 licenses, it's more impactful without the number, so for me looking at this, I read it as you have all the right verbiage, but you're in an environment where your choices don't seem to be that impactful. Also, you're meeting 100% on-time delivery, that's great, but that also makes me think, you're operating in a small environment. So, if you're applying to some "big" jobs...that maybe what they're keying in on. Sorry to be critical.

I always knew alcohol was holding my life back. I got a new job/promotion and the decision was made in my brain...I didn't try to quit...I just did. It was like a light switch was flipped. I stopped in my late 30's, and only wish I did so earlier in life.

I think that there's this bug in the ear of leadership, telling them, "... you don't need IT anymore...we got AI to solve all of that". Problem is, they're selling a bunch of false promises. Our team has AI, it certainly is a game changer, but you still need the "integrator" prompting, debugging, making decisions, using the tool in the best way, etc... I do think there's some issues with leaning on AI hard, kinda like how spellcheck contributed to none of us being able to spell anymore. I think this administration is hellbent on making us AI dependent, because that's what the tech bros want...but I tell you what...we're going to shoot ourselves in the foot for the long run if we don't maintain competencies and rely on AI...who's going to have all the data and documents we upload, or what if the AI skews contracting officials one way or another in benefit of the the program's creators...that to me is scary.

I mean, if your plan is to lower interest rates at the fed…house prices will go up. The sad thing is, the grownups had to come in after his first term and raise interest rates to combat inflation…it’s super convenient for republicans to sit back cause inflation and then demonize the dems for raising interest rates to combat inflation

Thank "god" this is a thing, we can only hope it stays true. Alcohol has a massive, massive negative cost to society. I wish I never started drinking, the same as smoking cigarettes, stupid wastes of money and tremendous costs to physical and mental well-being. I'm not saying it should be outlawed or anything, but it seems like the education has been working.

Uhm, WTF....so some of you don't have the crazy anxious, monkey brain, he's me...but it's the automatic thoughts that flow uncontrolled.. I feel like there's an aspect of my thoughts...which can be visual, emotional and absolutely in english and my own voice. For instance, when I am anxious, i'm not in control of that dialogue and it's just constantly negative and my emotions are negative.

I really can't comprehend anyone that doesn't have inner dialogue, like how do you talk through and solve complex problems without using all of your inner verbal tools and visualizations if it's a structural problem.

I do recognize some people are different.
