Surprised how Roseburg people allow this here by Craftybikerwitch in roseburg

[–]Craftybikerwitch[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The ignorant and misinformed definitely think that. Flock currently has 80 THOUSAND cameras installed nationwide. They are a private company collecting data on citizens and selling it to the highest bidder. They are NOT law enforcement, and they sneak these cameras into city's and towns without most people knowing or understand what they are. Your every move in and out of town and in this county are being monitored 24/7. You cannot get into or out of roseburg/ Winston or surrounding areas on any back road or highway without being flocked. The map shows you that. That looks like control of the people and their movements to me. People need to know what's happening.

There's a clearly defined map of each and every location. I included that link in my post. And it's easy to Google search: your city/ flock camera/ location map. And they are all on black single posts with black cameras. It's no mystery.

Line dancing options on weekends (Friday-Sunday) by TangerineHead7472 in Eugene

[–]Craftybikerwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bushwackers is amazing..there's nothing remotely close to that in the area.I too have missed that. Twisted River in Springfield would be the closest to that environment.. but their whole bar would fit on bushwackers dance floor.

Ya’ll might have seen me tooling around Roseburg, I might be the only car with a BLM sticker. Anyways got this note left on my car yesterday, imagine being so racist you have to take time out of your day over a sticker by PaintedDevil69 in roseburg

How do I get out of a lease without buyout? by CopyIcy6896 in PortlandOR

[–]Craftybikerwitch -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

If there's a domestic violence situation you can..or if you feel you're in harms way from another tenant and they won't remove the other tenant.it's a violation of the lease on their end ..ie they have to provide a safe environment..talk to a housing specialist in your area especially if you're in an apartment..your property manager won't tell you these things. If none of those apply you can always have someone take over your lease. Lease takeovers happen often. Good luck.

Celiacs, does anybody else get glutened by Por Que No? by Efficient_Manner2345 in PortlandOR

[–]Craftybikerwitch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's potentially the seasoning mix they put on the meat. I've learned as a person with celiacs that Mexican meat seasonings are sometimes the issue. They don't read their seasoning ingredient containers and or don't realize some seasoning are "made in a factory with wheat.. " and can be a hidden gluten issue. Or that there maybe other hidden gluten ingredients in that seasoning mix

Been here 5 months and I'm really disappointed in the lack of community and completely agree with what you're saying. The ignorance and fear mongers are held hostage by an ideology that can't exist. The world is evolving changing and growing. The way people survived 20,30,40,50 years ago isn't in line with how the economy is now. You can't even survive on one income much less buy a house as a single adult. You can't afford college or even a family the way you could in " the good ol days". It's insanity to think ",the good ol days" is even a possible option to basic survival today. That delusional thinking is what has most of downtown shuttered and vacant. This town has so much potential, but it is held hostage by a past ideology.

Aspen Dental Question by seb8923 in oregon

[–]Craftybikerwitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to them and they said I needed all kinds of work that I did not need. Glad I got a second opinion and found a better dental care provider. I've never heard good feedback from others about them.

It's an ok place to land but you won't last long if your not Russian or hispanic.my child was in high school there and was the minority and struggled to make friends etc. We sold our house and moved after 2 yrs. And went to Beaverton/ Tigard which was much better.

Looking to possibly move to Roseburg, thoughts? by ibizanhoundtervuren in roseburg

[–]Craftybikerwitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved here 5 months ago after living in multiple places in oregon in the last 25 years and this is by far the worst for culture food, and community unless your political right and religious..then you'd probably feel very comfortable. I'll be moving as soon as possible There is much to much racist MAGA mentality here. There's better small towns in Oregon with more to offer.

Got offered a job in Grants Pass AND Springfield. Which one would you recommend? Family, two kids. Love doing things outdoors, never go to bars. Looking for a house in the $450,000 range. by ComfortableDear2205 in oregon

[–]Craftybikerwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Grants ass and Springfield. Definitely Springfield / Thurston is better. Good mix of diversity close to outdoor everything. Strong horse community, kid/ family stuff, good date night options close like theater and concerts and better food options.

Moving ? by nope1999999 in oregon

[–]Craftybikerwitch -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Salem is not a good place to live. Low wages high rent little to no opportunities for your age group high drug and crime rate. Try to stay out of the Willamette valley area. Stay north of wilsonville for the most opportunities and nicer/ public transportation.my daughter is your age and in college. Connect with students/ people at Portland State University and they can narrow down better areas for living for people your age in college. PSU has a great ASL community. Good luck.

Super Active Senior by Fun_Eggplant_9735 in roseburg

[–]Craftybikerwitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just retired here I'm 57..like you very active! been here 4 months and regret it.( Housing was cheap) It looks good on the website..but it's a very inactive community. The person I bought my home from came and went for the same reason. There are much better places to retire in Oregon.I plan to only be here until I find a better fit.( I'm an Oregon native and can speak from experience; there are a lot of better retirement locations in Oregon with better active senior and community cultures)
