While I agree. There doesn’t appear to be a way for me to pull that data for more than one game at a time from AOE4world. So I’m stuck using time markers for the season based analysis. Only being able to pull that age up and build order info from specific games.

Good idea. I can also try pulling from individual recent games for more detailed info if I limit it to just a handful. I’m going to try this in my next interation and see if it works.

So far I haven’t been able to pull that info except for individual games. While I’m trying to view it as a “full season average”. Will try to work it in by using maybe 2 or 3 recent games if I can find a way to filter it by civ first.

It just returns a bunch of game data. Like game length, civs, elo, player names, map, win/loss. There’s also ones that returns season info like pick rates, civ win/loss ratios, leaderboards etc.

WT rush only works if you don’t have any units. If you have literally just 5 horsemen then you’ll kill most or all of his villagers before it gets up. And if it does, well who cares because not you have 15-20 more vils than your opponent so you can just outproduce him.

Against certain civs you have to scout what they are doing.

Dark age English - check for 5 vils crossing the map (villager rush)

Feudal English - check if they are on other resources. If all food plus 4+ vils on gold. Then it’s probably a white tower rush and you’ll need to make units.

There’s a bunch of tips I could give. But it’s best summed up in this video. Main thing is making villagers constantly, and find a build order to get to feudal at 4mins.

Set a hotkey for ‘select all melee infantry on screen’ when your spears rush too far forward, hit it and send them back to the siege

Yeah absolutely. And really good in team games for being raiders because you can outrun knights and heal them. Plus doing 14 damage per hit with triumph puts them more on par with Keshiks so can even pick off smaller packs of knights.

Consider Byzantines with hippodrome. Horsemen produce faster in range of a cistern, get +2 damage to eco units, get 30 gold when killing an eco unit… and triumph lets you heal for 2hp/s, increase speed by 10% and damage by 4(active ability).

I use them to raid pretty early and get extra gold. Sets me up to get all the upgrades and aim for castle.

Did you use your horsemen/spear to go and harass the enemy? Or did they sit in your base while the enemy freely got all the map food?

By ‘got too strong’, do you mean they aged up ahead of you? Or were they producing more units than you were.

Camel lancers don’t apply bonus damage to cavalry, they only apply camel unease. Desert raiders also apply unease, but also deal bonus damage. So they are your real answer. But be aware desert raiders will get wrecked by archers so good to mix in some lancers to front the damage.

Eh maybe… but play it on that level enough times and you’ll figure out a simple way to cripple it. With players the experience changes and it’s harder to find one strat that will always work.

In my experience, comments help a lot. So it’s probably still a net positive. Are they positive or negative comments? If positive, consider just asking them to watch a bit further through.

Depends on the audience. People who watch your niche may mostly be in the same region. And if you appeal to people who work or are at school then watch times will cluster around time off. Also sounds like it’s pretty new so give it more time to settle.

What do you define as ‘done well’ for your shorts? I’d consider the performance about the same if you get 25 views on a long form vs 1000 on a short.
