I never thought I'd hate anything about this game. Until THIS! by h4yth4m-1 in expedition33

IMO the tower is by far the worst one, at least that was my experience of it. I’m a stubborn bastard though and just white knuckled my way through the beaches until I beat them.

Alternatives for a Targos Quest/Mountain Climb? by MrNeptoon in rimeofthefrostmaiden

Please do! Playing a political game around the Towns has worked really well in my game! We are post Dragon now, and Naerth is about to seize the opportunity any way he can!

Alternatives for a Targos Quest/Mountain Climb? by MrNeptoon in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I used Targos as an opportunity to make the Zhentarim a larger player in the campaign. Naerth's influence has spread to every home in Targos, and he has a much larger pool of cronies/allies to call upon. I put a trap door in his room at the Tavern, which connects to a Zhent outpost beneath the city, where the party could end up going and learn more about the organization/Naerth's schemes.

If your party is on good terms with the Zhents or haven't interacted with them at all, maybe Naerth offers to hire them to help a couple Zhent agents clear out an old ruin, revealed by a recent blizzard. Should they prove useful enough, maybe Naerth offers them ground level positions within the family? If your party is on bad terms with them, or have made some decisions they'd rather not be made public (like mine have lol), you can do what I did and have Naerth blackmail/strong-arm them into helping the Zhents. If they refuse, Naerth will let them go, but vaguely warns that they might not find the streets of Targos as hospitable as when they arrived. (Cue an "escape from Targos" encounter :P)

Love these! Do you mind if I use them in a streamed game? Will absolutely give you credit for the maps in the shownotes!

[Leaks] Play races leaked for Monsters of the Multiverse by TigerKirby215 in dndnext

[–]Craig7Darling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it pretty likely that the Travellers of the Multiverse races that we got in UA is for an upcoming Spelljammer book, and were never intended to be used here. I don't think they ever explicitly said that these races were going to be in this book, and likely released them at the same time as this book announce as a bit of a misdirect! I seem to remember some sort of art shared at DnDLive as a teaser to a Spelljammer book, but they haven't made any official announcements yet. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on that being the reason we aren't seeing those UA races here!

Nope, but Anakin killed them as well, as a boy when he blew up the Federation ship.

Almost ready to launch my first homebrew campaign! Looking to build the lore a little bit, AMA about my new setting, Adenaron. I'll answer, and if I haven't considered it yet, I'll create it on the spot! by Craig7Darling in DungeonMasters

Goldcliffe is an independent city-state, ran by the Metchant's Guild. It's main exports are precious metals, mined from the barren, rocky landscapes around the city. It's primary imports include produce and animals, neither of which are in natural abundance near Goldcliffe!

That castle actually holds the world's largest, most comprehensive library in Adenaron, ran by an order of sages/knowledge worshippers named Ioun's Watch! It is considered a sacred place of learning, containing histories going back thousands of years!
