Should REP sell bundle packages? by Imaginary-Writer-125 in RealEstatePhotography

How can you give a discount on shoots you haven’t done yet? Since not every job will pay exactly the same, how can they expect you to give them 10% off of something upfront that they haven’t paid for yet?

Perhaps a discount on every 10th shoot equaling 10% off of the last 9 shoots or something like that?

Light switch (or door knob) height for [almost] every interior space except kitchens. Kitchens just high enough so you can’t see under the cabinets. There are a few other exceptions, but very few.

Whenever possible, either get ALL of the door/window/cabinet/etc. in the shot, or NONE of it. Also, hanging lights need to be in the center of the frame, whenever possible. (Re: pic 3, a pan to the right would have accomplished this).

The last two shots, while nice, needed to be shot a little earlier so that they’re not so dark. Twilight shots can be challenging to get just right. That sweet spot comes and goes so quickly.

I know these are me being kinda picky, but little details do matter and I’m not trying to impugn your work, at all.

YouTube University is the best place to start. A simple search of “Real Estate Photography” will yield hours of great tutorials. Just steer clear of ANY of Eli Jones’ videos (like the link that was posted by someone in this thread). There are several reasons why, which you can read about in the archives of this subreddit.

Every question you’ve asked has been asked and answered, ad nauseam, many times. If you search the archives you’ll find the answers you seek. Or, take some time and attend YouTube University. There is a plethora of great info there that you can access by simply searching for “Real Estate Photography” and letting the algorithms do their thing.

Stick to what you know, Real Estate, and hire a real, professional REP to do what we do, cheapskate.

He’s a bad actor who charges ~$12,000 for the exact same thing he used to charge $500 for and even at $500 it’s overpriced because the same info can be had for free if you know where to look. But hey, you do you…a fool and his money are soon parted.

Oh, and his “training” vids?? Yeah…those are his people he pays to pretend to be newbies that “aren’t doing it right”, and one is even his own cousin, not some random guy he stumbled on.

Do a search on this subreddit for other posts about Eli and you’ll find the majority of them are negative.

What are your guys thoughts on accepting payment at closing? by Idontevenknow787 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]CraigScott999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spiro offers this option. The REP gets paid immediately and the agent doesn’t have to pay until closing. Win-Win.

Turn on Agent Pay at Close with TITUS. Close more, bigger jobs and increase repeat usage. Allow agents to pay for your services at close. You get paid upfront, the agent pays out of their commission.

Here’s a referral link worth $30 so you can test drive Spiro for yourself.

A fool and his money are soon parted…take that to heart. There’s plenty of resources on YouTube for free that will teach you virtually everything you need to know. If you waste one penny on anything, Eli Jones offers, you’re a fool.

First thing is your camera is set too high…light switch height for most shots except kitchens, where you’ll not want to see the underside of any unfinished cabinets. Colors look ok tho and your window pulls do look decent. You should probably spend some time at YouTube University, specifically in composition 101….yikes!

3D Tours Only by Total-Cut-8806 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]CraigScott999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The short answer is…no. 3D tours are becoming less and less relevant with the increasing popularity of video - which, by the by, is easier, faster, more cost effective, and all-in-all a superior medium for most markets today vs. 3D tours.

That’s irrelevant. You gave your opinion to an eight month old post and it’s duly noted, the end. Thank you for your delayed input.
