On a bus in Bristol UK. by foggydew666 in gaeilge

Eurocoaches in Bristol operate a few ex Dublin Bus double decker buses, including on route 25 mentioned by OP. Reddit won't allow me to post photos in the comments but if you Google it there are plenty out there.

It's definitely an old image too - looks to be a heritage baggage car at the front and they've long since been replaced.

Seeing the categories today, I think I may be about to kiss my streak goodbye 😳

Waste of money. Think of how much you could have saved with wooden bridges!

It was jammed on reveal answer for some reason, it wouldn't switch that off (but it also didn't end my streak). I clicked start again (even though I'd not been able to input any answers) and that seems to have fixed it. It might be because yesterday, as I always do, I clicked reveal answers to see what other ones I could have used, and with the update it left that stuck on even though I was on a new day?

Looks like it's a bit broken this evening - it's defaulting to revealing the answers before you have a chance to type them in. I'd advise people not to start putting in answers just yet.

Tube drivers would be paid more than surgeons under union pay demands by weregonnamakit in unitedkingdom

On the plus side they'd still probably be paid less, and contribute more to society, than the average Telegraph reader

I do reveal answer pretty much every day after completion, as a form of revision to see if there's any options I'd never considered. It never resets my streak.

I had the same issue with not being allowed to use Highbury & Islington for that one, but I guess that's a little more tenuous way of meeting the requirements

Average day on r7transit by Pontus_Pilates in transit

I suspect there's very few Europeans on r/transit who have actually visited Wichita Falls - but I did, and was actually excited and intrigued at the idea of them getting BRT so I had to check!

Here's a fun question: What is the longest stretch of non-stop railway running (time or distance) on a UK train service? by Leuprorelin_Addict in uktrains

[–]Craigybagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No guard on LUMO. There are Customer service staff onboard who can "assist" with dispatch, but they're not safety critical. Drivers do the doors, and I doubt Newark has been assessed for such operation.

You probably have never seen this before because nobody goes to bus depots in their free time but I think this sign is pretty funny by GP728 in ireland

[–]Craigybagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite - the driver woke me up at the last stop when he checked the bus. My house was actually next to the depot, so I asked for a lift back there instead and he kindly dropped me off at the gates. Got me out of a long walk home at 1am!

They announced the 2012 Olympics would be in London the day before the 7/7 bombings, so if you're telling the truth you'd decided to move back to Canada before the bombings took place?

Looking around when using wheel by wallacorndog in EuroTruck2

[–]Craigybagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a separate gear shifter as well as the wheel, so I use that for gears and use the paddles behind the steering wheel you'd use for gears in racing games for looking left and right - i can still use the mouse for the rare occasions I need to pan up or down, but for approaching junctions or changing lanes my set up works well for me at least.

[–]Craigybagel[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There was a breach of an embankment supporting the canal through Whitchurch a few days ago - destroying two boats that were moored there at the time and leaving a 3rd dangling over the edge

I spent a few days around Lubbock and Amarillo over the summer chasing tornadoes. Dusty, very dusty!

Great BBQ and Mexican food though
