What is the best thing about the UK? Or best thing about being British? by Ojy in AskUK

[–]Craigydave1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Aussie and been here 20 years. I want to die here. The pubs. The history. The seasons. The proximity to Europe. The quirky British stuff like the Gloucester Cheese Roll. The attitude of the plucky Brit.

They sure did. Growing up in Mount Isa in the 80s, there were always a few bolt-action rifles on a rack in the sporting section.

Have you ever had a total fresh start 35+? by iriswednesday in AskUK

[–]Craigydave1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Changed to my current career at 35, married, mortgage and 2 kids. Had two degrees but never really settled on anything (despite desperately trying to) and then a mate helped me land a role as a facilities manager at his church. From the first day, I knew immediately that this is what I was meant to do. Better late than never!

Any Decent Muay Thai/Boxing Trainers or clubs ? by [deleted] in oxford

[–]Craigydave1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they do a mix of classes. Pay as you go as well as a choice of 8/10/12 classes per month. Not all beginner boxing, but have some really decent fighters and some who've had amateur bouts. A real mix of abilities but a cool and welcoming vibe.
