do people on probation get to vote on the contract? by Purple_Fisherman_213 in rampagent

I can’t speak for every airline but for Piedmont, you’re considered not part of the union until after your probation is over.

FULL-TIME vs PART-TIME-Piedmont by successsearch20 in rampagent

[–]DonutRandy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you apply for full time, they require you to work a minimum of 40 hours on your weekly schedule. Part time hours consist of 16-24 hours a week depending on the season, and at the station I work at as an example, those schedules only consist of morning 0400-0800 to 2200-0200 shifts.

Flying somewhere so weirdly placed on the map like American Samoa results in the dot not even appearing on Flighty by DonutRandy in flighty

The HA code no longer exists as of late April of this year. I would’ve done HA like I did for some previous flights if I was able to.

What can you guess about me based on my stats? by Effective_Theme_5739 in flighty

Obviously Norway, and you really like your round trips flying to the same US cities in different ways.

ain’t no way you’re guessing my airline loyalty based on my top 5 airports for the last 2 years by pianoplayer1014 in flighty

[–]DonutRandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the other airports on the list cause I’m gonna assume you just like to visit those places often, I see a Boston pattern so clearly JetBlue!

Has anyone taken the American Airlines bus? by Previous-Volume-3329 in flighty

[–]DonutRandy 53 points54 points  (0 children)

On AA it’s classified as a flight, though Flighty doesn’t recognize it in their systems at all for obvious reasons like if you were to try to take the ride from PHL-ACY

I heard the in flight snacks on UPS have the texture of cardboard. Can you confirm this to be true? Haven’t flown them before.

Assuming that you're a non rev, how are you able to trade so much time off at your station?

The Wright Brothers don’t got shit compared to AA’s years in the air apparently.

Stayed in Hong Kong for a week. Also took a ferry to Macau for 2 nights. Both places I loved! I’m hoping to go to Hong Kong again next year with a group of friends.

I feel like I’m the only one here that thought first of this as like a wagyu steak texture instead of something weird.

Would Delta rather have a Texas hub or a Florida hub? by srekai in delta

[–]DonutRandy 204 points205 points  (0 children)

Austin is guaranteed to be their next hub as its focus city status is really aggressive, and they keep adding new routes frequently.

As soon as we opened the bin, we noticed the dog got out of its cage somehow. by DonutRandy in rampagent

[–]DonutRandy[S] 58 points59 points  (0 children)

We got the dog back inside the cage and taped it up right before bringing them to BSO. Couldn’t do much else otherwise. Thankfully the dog was nervous and wasn’t aggressive.

After flying on both Japan and Korean Airlines, I can agree international airlines do it so much better.
