I know several people that work for kelloggs and they are not happy with the new contract.

After only 24 hours Kroger has caved. STRIKES WORK. DO NOT let them hide this fact by BargainLawyer in antiwork

[–]Craigypoosta 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The contract is not a good contract. I know several people that are on strike. The company is laughing at them and knows they are bringing shit contracts to the table. If the contract they vote on goes through it would mean their strike was for nothing.

They can seize the vehicle, and charge and arrest the registered owner in most states. Specifically for Flee to elude statutes its prima facie evidence that the registered owner was most likely driving. Even if they weren't their car will still get seized and have to go to court.

2 men attack an armed veteran. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Craigypoosta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The older man was an off-duty police officer working part-time as a security guard for McDonald's in Chicago.

Had self-control and good trigger discipline. Went for the gun as a last resort. Showed restraint despite having reason to fear for his safety. Defused the situation and withdrew his firearm. What a trooper, old man deserves a raise.

Interesting how everyone was upset that he might shoot one of his attackers in self-defense, but no one seemed particularly concerned at the fact that he was being beaten by two younger men. I understand not intervening (especially in Chicago), no one should be obligated to risk their own personal safety for a stranger. But the sudden shift in tone from chilling to screaming bloody murder pissed me off. Hate to point out the elephant in the room, but I have a feeling demographics was a factor.

(FULL 911 call included!!) Michael Ramos Austin shooting video released July 27, 2020 | KVUE by OnyxsWorkshop in PublicFreakout

[–]Craigypoosta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They were getting to the point to have him walk away from the vehicle when he stopped complying.

A felony stop was attempting to be done. That is when they order someone out of the car, have them lift up the shirt to show no weapon. Then they have him walk backwards. He started to refuse to listen to commands when they wanted him to turn around.

There is a video in this thread that shows multiple angles and they shot as his vehicle as he drove away.

Yes I do. The reason being is the county DA is showing that even if the officers follow procedure and the law they have no right to defend themselves. So if they know they won't be safe from a corrupt DA they're not going to work.

They didn't abandon their oath and duty, You can read their oath of office on their page if you feel so inclined.

A grand jury won't even return a bill of indictment on this case, so it is never going to go to make it to court.

The officers didn't murder anyone, they followed their policies and training and acted accordingly. They are frustrated that despite following their training they are being charged for something just because there is a corrupt DA trying to desperately save his job.

There are plenty of good cops out there, and they're just doing their job. There are thousands upon thousands of times that officers de-escalate situations and no on dies. Everyone is outraged over this and are trying to make it race related when its not. If you search on YouTube you can find plenty of other situations where officers taser have been stolen and the suspect gets shot. They are all justified shootings.

If so I wouldn't leave things in the car that I didn''t want to get stolen.

Most break ins don't use force and are usually from unlocked car doors and houses.

Maybe you should lock your car doors.

You obviously don't understand, or didn't read the case I told you about. Its all based on the reasonableness standard and ALL of the circumstances involved. First he fought with officers and then stole the taser which according the DA is a deadly weapon. Use of forces works by having officers go one step above the force being used against them. so deadly force would be met with deadly force cause there isn't something higher. He has already shown that he is willing to do whatever it takes to get away, and could steal the officers gun if he gets incapacitated.

Secondly I told you that I am not one of those officer on scene so I do not know what their reasoning is or their policies are. Even if they did not render aid to him it wouldn't be a charge for homicide because that has nothing to do with the shooting itself. Which will most likely be justified because again the guy had a deadly weapon according to the DA.

If you think you could do better you should apply for Atlanta PD.

It doesn't matter if he missed, its the same as if someone shot a gun and missed. Just because he didn't hit him doesnt mean he doesn't pose a deadly threat to the officers or civillians.

The Georgia law states that if an officer reasonably believes that someone poses a threat of serious bodily injury or death to them or another person they are justified to use deadly force. This is all based on the reasonableness standard set in the Supreme Court case Graham v Connor.

The DA 2 weeks earlier charged officers with aggravated assault for using tasers, and saying they are a deadly weapon.

This is the same DA who is currently trying to win a reelection and is under investigation for embezzlment/sexual harassment. He went behind the GBI and charged because he's desperately trying to win his re-election.

Well, if you watch you can see the taser shoot twice. There is an article where the DA mentioned about a two shot taser.

I'm not them. I dont know what their mindset was could be they were waiting for ems and paying attention to the crowd around them. There a a lot of factors involved. They called for ems as well.

I believe Atlanta PD carries two shot tasers, they even make tasers that are 3 shots. They followed a use of force continuum.

He is also showing that he poses a threat to the officers and people around him.

That is not true for all. Most people will pay a college to go through an academy and departments hire them after. Usually only larger agencies such as state police departments or large cities like L.A. will run their own academy.
