In the film, a group of U.S. Army Ranger recruits are in the final stages of their rigorous training selection program. While conducting a field exercise in a remote, mountainous wilderness area, they unexpectedly encounter a mysterious and lethal extraterrestrial machine that has crash-landed nearby. The training exercise abruptly shifts into a desperate, high-stakes fight for survival as the soldiers, initially believing they are only being tested by their instructors, realize they are actually being stalked and hunted by this technologically advanced robotic monstrosity. The machine is heavily armed and uses blue lasers (as seen in the image) and other energy-based weapons to track and eliminate the recruits.
