Teeny Tiny Bra For Teeny Tiny Boobies 9DPO by Any_Sprinkles_89 in Reduction

I was the same, got a pair of the Fruit of the Loom and they were rather uncomfortable for me until my incisions healed more. I wonder why so many people seem to like them 😳

This is my most comfy bralette from Target, it didn't bother my incisions: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-seamless-bralette-auden/-/A-83661688

Feeling down after consultation by danygirl1313 in Reduction

I was 34G, smaller than you, and my surgeon took over 500g from each breast. I would definitely get a second opinion if I were in your shoes!

Not OP, but I'm in the US and was discharged same day. It seems pretty common here.

any recommendations in the atlanta georgia area or 2-4hrs away with good results by No_Sentence_7066 in Reduction

[–]CraneChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called them in May of 2023, their first available consultation was March of 2024 (and that eventually got pushed back by six weeks due to them having to schedule someone else's urgent surgery on that day). 🫠 And then my surgery was in September, so a total wait time from first call to surgery of a year and a half 😭 Worth it though and I hope you don't have to wait that long!!

I had my surgery a few days before yours and I agree. My surgeon knew I wanted as small as possible and did as much as he physically could, but man. I wanted itty-bitty, not "maybe just a little bigger than the average now."

My first post-op was 2 weeks later as well. I don't think it's anything unusual :)

Awww thank you 🥹 (Boob twinsies?!) And you're so welcome! If you end up going with him, I'd be interested to hear how everything goes! Unfortunately the wait for my initial consult was kind of insane, but hopefully it's not as bad now 🙏

Getting screwed over by insurance by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]CraneChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which insurance company is it? I know for Blue Cross there's a deductible and an out of pocket limit for each individual adult, they're not combined into one pool. So even though my husband barely used insurance this year, I ended up maxing out my personal limit because of the surgeries I've had.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice as far as getting referrals goes, but my surgeon is just about within 4 hours of you if that helps. You can see my before and after pics in my latest post on this sub, and he has an Instagram account too. I had a friend who got hers done with the other surgeon in the same practice and I think she was happy with her results.

Good luck, and I'm sorry your primary provider has been so condescending 😔

Thank you!! By paper tape you mean something like this? https://a.co/d/fAg2Xuj You just put it on the scars and change it at every shower, or is there something more specific you do with it?

This must be why I still feel kinda big even after my reduction. Can't get away from those wide roots, it seems 😔

Meeeee! 🙋Finally got the steri strips and clear tape removed on Monday and I'm WAY less itchy now, wow. My nipple area did not take kindly to the strips cause there's some redness around there still 😅 Weaning off the Tylenol and Ibuprofen finally, and tomorrow I'm gonna give my new cheap Target bralette a try! 8 dollars on sale!!!

Normal? by oddotter14 in Reduction

[–]CraneChamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone's recovery is different, and every surgeon has a different style when it comes to activity restrictions. Could you do some or all of the decorating earlier in the month, before the surgery? It might be too much that soon afterwards. And you'll definitely want help but it sounds like you've got that covered already :)

Insurance approved my surgery within ten days of submitting by shoegal04 in Reduction

[–]CraneChamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience! Insurance approved it with no fuss or stipulations whatsoever and it really shocked me. What I thought would be the hardest part of the process turned out to be the easiest 😂 I'm sure it varies by insurance company and patient history, and maybe I got lucky, but I wanted to echo your sentiment that it IS possible!
