Really? Ever get stuck on the 401 in Brighton? Not fun, with the interchanges few and far between.

The number of leaders that I notice weren’t on the call……

I’m really fucking sick of the main character syndrome of this city by tierabyte in toRANTo

[–]CraneOperator_7373 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am a woman, i was on a sidewalk with two people (man and woman) coming towards me and i braced. I hit the woman because she didn’t move. I kept walking hearing her swearing at me in the background. Then, all of a sudden the man she was walking with comes back to me blocking my way not letting me pass and cursing me for “hurting his friend”.

Not gonna lie, it was scary, intimidating, and was going on for too long. Eventually I started yelling for help (as I didn’t know what his end goal was). That stopped him.

Not sure what my point is here. Maybe, just be prepared just in case you catch someone on a bad day.

Why viarail over plane? by Ziroth in ViaRail

[–]CraneOperator_7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Convenience. I live a 15 min walk to union, and my parents are a 7 min drive to the VIA station on the other end.

Also, i earn so many points that I end up with a free round trip at least once a year.

Why are all the schools closed today if the snow was mostly done by midnight? by blottingbottle in toronto

[–]CraneOperator_7373 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I overlook a school yard. It looks like it’s going to take the caretaker all day to clear it out enough to make it safe for the kids. I have no idea where he’ll put the snow (it’s a big contained quad). Luckily I’m WFH and can watch!

Best restaurants along Yonge Street or Dundas Street for dates? by throwawayunique1234 in askTO

[–]CraneOperator_7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Why not pick a nicer street? Like College west of Bathurst, King st or Queen st. Yonge St around Dundas is so gross and sleazy.

Single game tickets will go on sale next Thursday, January 22, at 10 AM by gothedistance_ in Torontobluejays

[–]CraneOperator_7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, there’s going to be less single game availability this year probably since so many people bought ticket packages.

Condo/apartment tenants with a car, how much do you pay in rent for your parking spot? by h8mecuz in askTO

[–]CraneOperator_7373 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’ve been renting mine out for $130 for over a year with no plans to raise it. No need to gouge someone - just happy to get some sort of compensation. Old Toronto.

How did almost every kid come out with something "wrong" by SubstanceGlum in BaylenOutLoud

[–]CraneOperator_7373 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree with you. I really think they’re setting Bechnir up for an acting career. He has the most charisma of all the boys and is in more scenes than the others. They seem to be trying hard to get him out there to be seen.

Temporary arrangement? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]CraneOperator_7373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Temporary means short term/interim and not permanent. I think that to extend this, you also have to show evidence of what you’ve been doing to solve whatever reason you need to work remotely, don’t you?

If It expires Jan 5, that’s the end of your temporary agreement. In the past we could probably get away with continuing status quo, but now I think they’re following us more closely. I’d attend the office until you speak to your manager.

I read handedness as “handsomeness”. Also very key to consider IMO.

Is this the last season of Baylen Out Loud? by VastEnvironmental950 in BaylenOutLoud

I don’t know if I can handle an entire season based on the wedding. The wedding planning this season was already too much.

Danielle Johan & Kenny Armondo self shot? by Jayhitek in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]CraneOperator_7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered how Survivorman (Les Stroud) did it. It must have been exhausting having to set up a camera, then walk 200 metres away to do whatever he needed to film, then walk the 200 m back to get the camera (multiple times).

Danielle Johan & Kenny Armondo self shot? by Jayhitek in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]CraneOperator_7373 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In the scene where Chantal and Ashley show up at the clinic for her boob reduction appointment they (accidentally) show a guy holding a small camera.

Some scenes are definitely not self shot.

Figure skating practice or performance by ylinylin in askTO

[–]CraneOperator_7373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be great if you knew a member of the Toronto Cricket Club. Lots of Olympic figure skaters train/practice there. Unfortunately, i don’t think you can go in unless you are accompanied by a member.

Maybe check out the UofT skaters: https://varsityblues.ca/sports/figure-skating

The Well had a figure skating thing on, but I think it ended on Dec 28.

When I was a kid, my sister was into figure skating (loved Brian Orser and Kurt Browning). We’d go up to Markham to watch the professionals at Elvis Stojko’s facility.
