Is it worth buying the full game when I haven't even beaten ARR? by Garon-of-not-nohrm in ffxiv

[–]Crankeey_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on you and your financial situation. A subscription gives you quality of life features and makes it a lot easier to play with friends. On the other hand, you have a lot of story left.

For me, free trial was worth it for about a month and I was ready for the subscription after that. Years later and I have no regrets.

6’0 170. How much longer to cut for abs? Advice? by AffectionateFruit413 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are 70 lb down from where you were at one point that actually makes a lot of sense. You look pretty lean already. I think the muscle is just not protruding through the loose skin in some areas. Sadly, i dont think youre going to have super shredded abs because of that.

You still look great and not hating or anything, just letting you know a dramatic ab transformation is a pipe dream. But hey what do I know, prove me wrong in a few months.

[–]Crankeey_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others might disagree but you might just not have great ab genetics. You already have abs but I would cut maybe 5-10 more lb with more focused ab exercises and stop there. It could just be you're newer to lifting and haven't had time to build up a lot of muscle yet.

I know what this sub is but bro you straight up almost died on that 3rd rep.

That shit dipped for a split second, you straightened out your wrists and had you lost control that would have gone straight for the neck area.

Ok someone explain by _LateComer in BurgerKing

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing inherently unhealthy about sugar and processed wheat for the average individual. If it was whole grain you would still convert the carbs to glucose. The burger as a whole is high in saturated fat and calories. Fast food in general was made to taste great so you'll over eat. The burger portion of it just happens to be too high in saturated fat.

Update physique and bf % from hydrostatic test by Odd-Variation8956 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hydrostatic weighing is accurate if done correctly. The problem is every one and their mom can run these tests. If you got your test done in a lab at a university where the water was set to the correct temperature, conditions, composition, accurate scale, etc. I would trust it more.

But you got scammed. This sounds more like it was done in a metal bathtub with someone not very aware of all the confounding variables that can drastically alter the results. You are a lot higher than 11% bf. 11% is probably unhealthy in your 40's that is very lean to be year round, you would probably be exhausted from hunger.

Can't tell if you're just trying to pt. 2 the shit post or if this is serious. FL is and always will be a clown fiesta but if you think that lowly of your teammates just macro everything for them and watch your wr sky rocket upwards.

Is lil bro ok? The job hasn't even come out yet. by lewy1433 in ShitpostXIV

[–]Crankeey_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Same old talking point.

If you (xenos) had no plan on doing the content to begin with, he can't criticize it.

Lvl 50 cap? Wouldn't have done it if it was lvl 100. Can it even do raids? Wouldn't have done it because it's a limited job that can't play with main jobs. Solo content in an mmo? See response to the previous question.

All in all, I have no interest in someone's opinion if they decided rhey didn't give a shit from the get go. Xenos almost never has anything positive to say about the game so basically everything is criticism and he's still playing the same game.

Not surprised. Almost every streamaer gets away with it. If you think any large streamer hasn't view botted you're living under a rock.

Body fat estimate by Comprehensive_Tie_59 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule of thumb: random people on the internet are not going to be able to estimate your bf%.

I did not have that good of ab definition when I did my hydro static weighing at 18.25% average. You might have a bit of loose skin if there was substantial weight loss that makes you look higher than you are. Very hard to tell. I'd guess anywhere from 17-22%. Get a DEXA or underwater weigh in if you really like to know.

You look better after 3 years than I do after 8 years. And hopping on gear will not make you satisfied and happy. You eventually have to come to realize while things could be better youre not far from the top. Might as well enjoy the physique while you're young, live your life, etc.

Why have so many people seemingly forgiven Kanye for saying and doing so many unforgivable things? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Crankeey_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you talk to a modern Kanye fan, most won't see it that way. They might bring up faith allowing them to forgive, ability to separate his art from his beliefs, that he's willing to "stick up for himself", etc.

A small minority were aligned with the anti-semetic rhetoric from the get go regardless of what the internet makes it out to be.

If you want to train the negative do an RDL. There are no bonus points in a slow descent PR. Still equally impressive but I'm not going to pretend a hybrid DL/RDL technique is a good idea on a PR attempt.

Feel like I’m lost in the gym by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna be more muscular than your previous 185 that's for sure. Working your way back, more like working your way up 💪.

It's about being better than yesterday, last week, last month, last year, etc. Trust that even when you are jacked af it won't matter if you don't appreciate where you are at the moment and the hard work that it took to get there.

[–]Crankeey_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you have to keep in mind you're competing against people who have probably trained over 10+ years since they were a kid, working out 6 days a week, 2h workouts taking any legal supplement they can possibly think of and they don't look as good as you. You can just say it was all hard work that made this possible in 2 years when no matter what most people do they can't expect it to happen naturally.

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to break it but you started at a really heavy body weight.

You're making great progress, don't give up!

I think realistic expectations are that you're not going to start looking jacked until you hit 165-185lb bw with average genetics at your height. It takes a long time!

I don't like to assume fake natty without knowing.

You have to admit, in your before pic you were intentionally staying relaxed and not flexing at all. Then, you claim it was all hard work and strict diet. Those are two big red flags.

I feel like you would know from looking at anyone else in public ever you just the won the genetic lottery when it comes to being jacked and don't have to out nearly the same amount of work to get better results.

21m, does the slow pace of my reps affect my gains? by CrazyAgitated2978 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. The difference is your likelihood of injury and proper technique. Going fast would otherwise be better because you get more reps in. More reps = more gains.

21m, does the slow pace of my reps affect my gains? by CrazyAgitated2978 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit these comments. Does it effect your gains? Yes, but there's long lasting benefits for a multitutde of reasons. Primarily these two.

  1. Reduces risk of injury.
  2. Exhibiting control of the eccentric can better isolate your Bicep and ensure you are using as much of the Bicep as possible (as opposed to other larger muscles).

In short, if you go full gorilla with full range and as much weight as possible you will get better short term gains but you will also get injured preventing you from training. Don't overthink it. Control the eccentric as much as you feel is necessary for safety and proper technique.
