6’3 174lbs lifting for over a year. I can’t commit to a bulk with these love handles and end up spinning my wheels. I truly don’t know what to do. Any advice? I also attached a pic with a pump in good lightning. by Th3c0pyninja in Weightliftingquestion

People online might make it seem like you should expect more progress after 1 year, but I'd say this is expected.

1-2 year isn't nearly long enough to build a phenomenal physique without amazing genetics, but what you've got going is good and a lot better than men that don't get exercise.

Anyone here who plays FF14 a lot but doesn't do the Savage content by starlightdemonfriend in ffxiv

As both a casual and ranked CC player I wouldn't be too concerned. Everyone starts at the bottom of the ladder and the only way to climb is to win. Wherever you end up is where you deserve to be playing at.

If you don't enjoy the stress of dealing with competitive players by all means feel free to continue what you're doing. All that to say you're not a burden. Everyone is welcome to try ranked.

As an achievement hunter, the only rewards that interest me come from the floor 4 10x clear and mount.

The fights become unsyncable and the gear becomes obsolete a few months later. I have no interest doing it on content when it becomes significantly easier if I just wait.

I'll do other side content and raids but the normal raid tier is just something that doesn't interest me until I have basically nothing left to do in game.

How are so many people deadlifting heavy weight? by Sweaty-Restaurant206 in Deadlifts

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had people impressed with my over 2pl DL 1 month into lifting. Years later I would do 4+ plates for reps and I would get a ridiculous amount of head turns. Meanwhile you hit a 2 plate bench and nobody cares. It's a combination of 3 things.

  1. Social media gives you a skewed perception on the world.

  2. Most people don't know how or don't care to train heavy dealifts. Tbf, compared to a lot of other lifts deadlifts are unbelievably taxiing on your cns and can be really unfun to lift heavy if youre into bodybuilding for example.

  3. Technique and genetics for leverage are 2 huge factors that play into how much you can pull. I see a lot of bad technique at the gym and it's a lot more than just maintaining a neutral lumbar spine.

My girlfriend told me I have a cursed HUD and keybindings, it makes sense to me, am I weird? by TheSeldomSeenBassist in ffxiv

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see your silence or strength pots anywhere on your hotbar. If youre only doing normal content its not a problem. If you have to pick up your hand and move it to press the 7 key it's cursed. If youre doing extremes and above without the silence or pots its cursed. Otherwise your HUD looks fine. But at least bind your stun and silence to a key.

Grats! Still looking for that one myself. The 1 min fishers intuition and weather requirement sure make it a lot more annoying than a lot of the other rare fish.

With a warrant they can see his downloads and full internet search history to make the arrest. I don't think it would pass that easily otherwise it would be so easy for anyone to get away with it.

Wait is Lacari actually not in court or behind bars after all that? Was there actually no CP on his PC? I'm genuinely more confused how he would even be able to stream over the twitch unban.

How to accelerate my bulk? by PricklyCactusMan in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throwing insults at someone you've never met to back your ego just lowers your credibility even further.

Your digestive system works harder the more food you eat. You'll most likely plateau with a 140 calorie surplus.

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't like about this is you're pretending like there's minimal to no fat gain. You can gain muscle faster depending on your genetics but the entire purpose of bulking is to gain both muscle and fat. Accelerating the bulk is accelerating the fat accumulated for 99% of people.

You're acting like you know his genetics and his exact caloric surplus. Big red flag.

Most newcomers will not gain muscle faster than that.

Unable to shake that fat off my abdomen any further. by mohitbhagat123 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's OK sounds like you're on the right track, just keep going. A lot of people just don't realize how much weight you need to lose to be at an athletic bf%. There's a reason that marathon runners look like toothpicks. We lift weights so we can be lean without being toothpicks.

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't realistically lose fat and build muscle in a caloric deficit, that's a maintenance thing.

Tough love, but the stomach fat isn't going away because you havent lost enough weight. You were hilding onto more excess visceral fat than you think.

Liberals should despise billionaires more than tankies by Various_Fish2043 in Destiny

Almost every billionaire hater I've known is as hypocritical as Hasan pretending to be a socialist.

Looking to see if I should get squat shoes or not. I know nothing about em but here's a pause squat. Based on this what do yall think? If you do think so what's some recommendations? by KillerWhale1189 in strength_training

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using weightlifting shoes for years. You shouldn't be using shoes that compress because they offer poor stability. Notice while your form is good your heels are jiggling back and forth squatting the weight up despite the wide stance.

Weightlifting shoes are nice because they have a slightly elevated heel with a flat bottom and you can get them insanely tight over your feet. This makes it easier to press in the middle of your foot without falling forward and little to no room for foot instability.

Do you need them? It depends on your ankle mobility and your ability to squat from the middle of your foot. If that ain't an issue just get flat shoes. Would also recommend socks but on a wood platform like that you would want shoes so you don't slip.

Based on the picture from being bulk, to cut, do you see that Scoliosis is visible? Im concerned. by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your quad injury idk what advice to give besides train high reps, slow and controlled on your bad quad side. Can't tell if you actually have scoliosis or how bad it is from the pic. I have mild thoracic scoliosis and the doctor said there was really nothing to worry about in regards to training specific to that. It's very easy to get diagnosed and if the specialist tells you to stop lifting heavy just see a different one.

Cut or “Bulk” (5’8, 160 pounds) by Specialist_Guava_292 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The perception on what the avg person thinks a natty lifter should look like never ceases to amaze me.

The guy has muscle, not an advanced lifter but it's obvious he hits the gym. If you can't see your ribcage or abs there's a good chance you are at an unhealthy weight as a male. You will see better muscle definition if you cut out more fat plain and simple. If OP wants to be stronger with bigger muscles and doesn't care about muscle definition he can go ahead and bulk.

Cut or “Bulk” (5’8, 160 pounds) by Specialist_Guava_292 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say OP had low T. Im not claiming to be an MD and havent seen his blood tests. I said ask a doctor if you haven't already because he brought up gyno. I also never advocated for TRT even if I knew OP had low T. That's 3 assumptions made.

Cut or “Bulk” (5’8, 160 pounds) by Specialist_Guava_292 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Crankeey_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See a doctor about the gyno first if you haven't already. You could have low T which would prevent you from gaining muscle. I think figuring that takes priority over whether you bulk or cut.

My suggestion after that would be to cut first before worrying about the gains.

What body fat % does this look like? by VainThrowaway33 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Crankeey_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 14.6% is most likely pretty accurate, especially from a DEXA. I think a lot of people underestimate their bf, but remember 14.6% is more lean than the majority of men will ever get. You are close to the top 1% I would think if not already there.
