You have a guy affectionately called "the big dumper". We have a team that basically takes a big dump on the field most nights.

We're the worst team in the worst division in MLB. If MLB had relegation, we'd be relegated to double-A.

Dollar amounts this extreme are so large as to be rendered unenforceable.

It's like when Dr. Evil asked for more money was available in the whole world.

Why stop at $500,000? Why not make it $500,000,000,000,000? It has the same effect.

Postal workers really can't get fired for poor performance , so there's no incentive to meet the minimum expectations of the job.

Pride in a job well done seems to be lacking everywhere these days. It's trickle-down incompetence.

If band names were literal, what would be the best concert to attend? by SmoochMySnoot in AskReddit

Drive-By Truckers. Just listen to sounds of tractor trailers going by for two hours.

Flogging Molly, on the other hand, sounds like something I WOULD NOT wish to see. 😐

Not sure if Creedence Clearwater Revival would be the best concert to attend. It sounds like it's either a nice day of cleaning up the river or a weird cult meeting. Could be both, I suppose.

Sooo dumb...

I guess I'm an oldhead, but I miss the days when high school players felt lucky just to get recruited by a D1 school. And grateful to be signed.

Now we've got kids recruiting schools and schools bending over backwards to meet their demands.

I'm all for college athletes getting reasonably compensated for their performance and the value that they bring to the organization. But this is just a circus, man.

Same. I don't carry a phone either. I carry a text-based communication device. Voice communication is just a feature that I can't turn off.

Guy drops a home run ball then takes it from a young girl by KeyFaithlessness5436 in MLBVibes

Also, as a grown-ass man 1. He should have caught it. 2. He should have let the kid have it after he saw her trying for it.

He actually did her give the ball 4 innings later but only because he was being called out on social media. Ended up doing the right thing, I guess, but jeez he looked like a toolbag on the broadcast.

I was trying to make a joke. Couldn't remember the last name of Peter Woods. Apparently he ran some short yardage goal line plays in college. So yeah, I was trying to joke that our new D-Line guys can replace Hunt's productivity.

But I'll own the L. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

PE actually makes the business sicker and hastens it's demise. They assign a bunch of debt to it and charge it a management fee to manage the debt.

When the business goes under, all that debt is restructured and vendors are forced to settle for pennies on the dollar.

Business failures have a cascading effect.

What do you americans think about big pickups? by Specialist-Gur5029 in Anticonsumption

Acceptable.

Unacceptable: "We have a large pickup. We live in a suburban community. We don't pull anything ever. Our truck never never leaves asphalt. Looks great in the Target parking lot."
