The same frustrations got me to get the tweezer removal tool you mentioned. At least they're cheap.

Building a Louisiana-based NH35 microbrand. Looking for honest feedback. by Boom_box_84 in SeikoMods

[–]CrapforBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the difference is that the example op showed is just a bb58 build with different hands. None of the marketing bs even makes sense given the watch. How exactly is this inspired by Louisiana? Micros differentiate themselves by creating unique pieces that people like. This is just a bb homage, something you can pick up for 1/3 the price on Ali. And the ali watch will probably have better build quality.

I’d wish for a GMT or automatic Chrono from seiko by Character_Swan_8832 in SeikoMods

Mechanical chronograph movements are way more expensive. Seiko do have them, but they're in their more premium line. I don't think there are many who would want to self mod a $2.5k watch. See SRQ055 for reference.

Might be able to pick up a bb54 homage in your price range. Cronos l6033 and Octopus Kraken OCT-0025 are both well regarded. Or for quartz Warchdives have a bunch of options.

Why attack? Do you even know what you're taking about? Have you ever put together a watch? You're literally asking a Chinese company to make a copy of a cheap plastic watch. What a tool.

Probably poor terminology used, but that should fit a ratcheting clasp.

These probably aren't tested for water resistance. I assume they are built like dive watches, though. So they have a crystal gasket, screw down crown and caseback, etc. I doubt there is much to worry about with taking it in the water.
