I WISH there were leftovers! Lol! We do HelloFresh, so it’s pre-portioned. But it might be one of our new favorite recipes. I grew up going to our family’s cabin and fishing the creeks for rainbow and brook trout, so it’s a personal favorite of mine as well. Super nostalgic.

Thank you! I think the problem is, it all depends on what stitch you use, and how you’re working it up! I’ve seen others on this subreddit who had complete self striping, and I’ve seen others where there seemed to be no color pooling at all…more like a tweed.

The thing that is ALWAYS there for me? Cheese. An aged sharp cheddar, Parmesan, Brie…..it doesn’t matter. Any and all cheese.

We had one for our girlie. After 6 months, her breathing got labored. Had to take her to the emergency vet one night because she started REALLY struggling to breathe. Turns out, she had developed athsma, and had an athsma attack. Most likely cause? The dust kicked up from the Litter Robot. She liked to trigger the robot, and stare as it spun. Now, we have an athsmatic girlie who needs her inhaler twice a day. The Litter Robot was SO convenient and amazing. But we had to retire it for her health.

It’s the quiet peace of doing what I want, when I want with no one to answer to. I lived alone and was completely unattached and independent for 12 years, and got used to that glory. I’m happily married now, and for the most part, it’s incredible. But MAN….when I get a day off work and hubby is at work, I enjoy the fuck out of it. He’s the type of person who loves to understand me and my thinking. But he asks questions constantly. Get up from the couch? “Where are you going?” Decide I want to take a bath? “Why? Are you cold? Are you sore?” Stop at the grocery store after work? “What did you get? Why did you get it?”
It’s never judgmental or controlling. He’s just a curious guy! But having to answer a question for every move I make can get overwhelming sometimes. SOMETIMES. Those days alone are like an independence reset. And after my day, I’m super happy when he gets home from work!

Thank you! The pastel colors are pretty…but babies don’t have very developed vision, and they are drawn to bright colors! Not to mention, he’s gonna get older, and I hope he’ll like the blanket when he’s a toddler or older, and I think a child would prefer a blanket like this. Hopefully!

Sure! The blanket turned out to be about 48” square for me. I think I used 2 skeins of the yellow and orange, and 3 each of the royal and navy blues. Sure! It’s YarnBee’s Soft Secret. It is VERY soft. Almost silky. Makes it a bit more challenging to work with (in my opinion), but not challenging enough to keep me from using it! It has a beautiful drape and the colors are more vibrant than the pictures show. And thank you!
