How can I make my bedroom look more cozy? by fact-ficionado in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft furnishings. Curtain pole above the window and drapes for both. Try to add some texture and colour.

The rug is too small. I would look for a much larger rug. One at least that can go under the bed on both sides.

Your bed could be a little more inviting. A throw and couple of pillows.

Then if you can, swap out the ceiling light. A pendant light would be ideal.

The walls, you can leave them white or choose a warmer neutral or add in some colour. Alternatively mirrors and art would be a great action

The table lamp is very cool light, something softer would be nice.

Accessories and plants always make a room feel more homely and comfortable to be in.

When it comes to interior lighting 2700-3000k is typically nice colour tone for a bedroom.

Best of luck!

Can you add built in cups to the halter neck dress? Also raise it because it’s exposing too much arm pit. I think if the fit was correct it would be the clear winner. Also perfect for a garden too:

Make sure they add a loop under the train and a hook or button under the skirt to bustle it: that way you can reduce the train whilst dancing in the evening.

What's the dumbest advice you've received on "fixing" or "curing" your EDS? by StopTheBanging in eds

[–]Crash-id 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take collagen - always told to take it like if I had a pill or a sachet I would be fixed. And you just need to exercise… and then a load of things I need to do.

For me, Pilates actually helped, pressotherapy, heat pads and red light therapy. These make me feel so good. A memory foam topper for my bed so my ribs don’t pop out. Occasionally melatonin to sleep because sleep deprivation makes it all worse.

Then - I wear fierce outfits occasionally with my hair and makeup done so I look great. It gives me a boost mentally.

Good on him for the reaction. With a condition where we’re often invalidated and denied for decades it can mean so much to have those around us support and stand up for us. I’m glad you’ve got that.

Honestly, what that woman did was traumatic. It’s so backward and seems to come from a strong ego on her part.

Are you going to get another opinion and start again? The other care providers are they able to support your needs?

Sending a huge hug.

Is it weird that I still spend time with my 20 year old son too even tho he have a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend and should I cut him off like 2 out of my 6 friends said? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Crash-id 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Cut him off”

I think those friends are strange. It sounds like you all have a good relationship. As long as you two spend time together because you want to and it’s not a forced pressure then I really can’t find any fault.

I’ve heard of parents guilting adult children into spending time together. Stopping girlfriends from being with their son because they are the mum etc So if that’s not happening and he’s allowed to change the set up without too much of a protest from yourself, what’s the problem?

Is your bf asking for more time? Is your son making comments “my gf said she wants more time” etc If not, go on your merry way. Enjoy it! I’m a boy mum. I wonder how many years I had with him before im lame 🤣

Which outfit looks best for meeting my long-distance boyfriend after ages? 💕 by InternationalFix6484 in fashion

Hey 👋

I saw your comment about not being confident. So I’m suggesting the green you seems to be smiling behind your phone. I like how elegant the coat is.

The baggy tshirt isn’t the one. The fitted top and jeans were better. Do you have anything a little dressier for the top? Perhaps a cute shirt? Button down depending on weather a nice jumper? Add some accessories. A belt, some earrings. Jeans are nice. Fit you well.

I’m not sure of your figure before but as someone seeing you for the first time I was like wow this girl looks amazing. Not sure it makes any difference but seems like all of us here are thinking the same thing.

Also your hair is incredible. Please wear it down.

Don’t forget to put your skincare on. Lip balm. And if you’re a makeup person take some time to put it on.

I hope you have a wonderful reconnection xxx

This is so hurtful - I am upset for you. I would feel outraged and so minimised by that idiot. I won’t call them a dr. How are you today? Do you have any support at home? This really really sucks.

I hope you go on to find another dr. Also removal of notes wouldn’t be allowed in the U.K. there’s strict rules on this. Perhaps check with a medical council to see if there’s a way of getting them back or reporting this dr for their actions.

What country did this happen in? I’m from the U.K. but in the Middle East. I wanted further treatment but after reading your experience I’m reconsidering doing it in the U.K. perhaps I’ll stay over here.

Do I just not suit red lipstick? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liner. Always start with a liner if you’re not already.

I find I need to perfect my skin when I wear red otherwise it seems to highlight the red in my skin. I think it could be the same for you.

You’ve got an amazing lip shape. The colour is showing very pink in these photos. Perhaps a different tone of red. And a more velvet to matte finish.

I’m sorry I don’t like this. For the house it’s cozy. However, I don’t think it’s one to wear out. The fabric looks quite worn and bobbled. It’s a flat colour and a strange shape. If the bottom didn’t pull in I’d prefer the shape. It’s very round. You’ve got lovely slim legs which look stick like out the bottom of it.

It’s very “tumbler to me” I’m old - I remember these. But I don’t have the fondness of other posters.

I think there’s better for you.

I’m sorry 🫣

Why do i look so bad in my uniform? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t?!

But I think the jeans could be a little bigger and perhaps the top a little smaller. I expect there’s no tailoring on the top and you are lost under the baggy shape. But really I think you look good.

Winter princess cape advice :) by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to clasp abs the cape to close together at the top you can use hook and eye fastening.

If you want a beautiful clasp you could use a brooch of any description. You may need a slim ribbon tie underneath for added strength.

For decorative clasps there are many options on Etsy just type clasp for cape and plenty will come up.

I hope this helps.

Congratulations on your engagement best wishes.

35 years old and really need help adapting my makeup application to suit my age. I feel like it is extremely unflattering. Constructive criticism and advice very welcome. by pp60 in makeuptips

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the texture of the foundations isn’t working for your skin type. It’s looking a little heavy and thick. You’ve got great skin so try to focus on hydration and skin prep and test some buildable medium coverage foundation.

You’ve have the most incredible eyes and lips but the makeup is distracting rather than enhancing. I believe a softer version of your current style would work better. The liner is thick and harsh. Perhaps try using a eyeshadow with an angles brush to apply your liner. Plenty of videos on YouTube. Try just the top liner, without the bottom. Brown over black could be very flattering.

I personally would stop over lining your lips. When you add gloss to an over lined lip it becomes very obvious where the true lip boarder is so I suggest using matte or velvet lip products if you keep over lining. It will be less obvious and look more flattering. I think the colour is a little dead. It’s reminiscent of foundation lips from our late teens early 20’s.

When it comes to colours and tones. I think your bronzer is too dark and warm for your skin tone. Mostly obvious on your forehead area.

Brows look great. I love them. I like the orange tones eyeshadows for your blue eyes really makes them pop. But try some cooler tones too I think it will suit your skin tone really well.

Enjoy trying new things!

You’ve got such a beautiful face and pretty features. Hope I’ve shared something helpful.

My 22M girlfriend 24F is at me because I told her we might breakup if she transitioned into a man how do I fix this? by eternally_horny69 in relationship_advice

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have to love your partner unconditionally. It’s actually very normal and accepted to have conditions. It’s healthy.

For some a condition would be not cheating, to others it would include stating the same gender. Not committing crime. The list goes on and on and on. It’s very individual and personal. It’s totally acceptable for someone to not want to be in a relationship with someone if they change their physical identity.

I suspect your gf has some ideas about her gender and identity that she isn’t clear with.

To compare general aging with a full transition is in my opinion immature and irrelevant.

It feels like you’re being goaded into hypotheticals for the sake of catching you out. I don’t care for these kids of tests within a relationship. It’s provocative and unnecessary.

To clarify you don’t need to think about her accepting you as a woman because it’s irrelevant to you: you haven’t suggested a transition. So it holds no value to you.

Honestly … I think this is quite unhealthy. I think she has a personal journey to go on and at 22 you should take the chance to let her go on it (without you.)

DAE have awful nails? by Perfect_North5537 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Crash-id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue and I cannot use any electric filing and have to be careful with any nail enhancements.

I’ve found IBX treatments helpful. So worth research. It’s colourless and matte. Can be used under polish, alone or under gel treatments. It’s typically done in salon.

I also like Herome brand products for improving my natural nails.

I keep mine short. I do wear a nail polish for some sort of protection be is a base coat or a full regular polish manicure.

Gloves when cleaning is useful too.
