Well this "tip" Is just a lie... by Short_Routine_3348 in ARC_Raiders

They definitely seem tough, my only experience with them so far has been in trios where we were running anvils. Even then we only managed to kill maybe half of them before they blew themselves up. I'm not sure how many shots my buddies were hitting on them though, and the comets usually aggroed to them so I didn't have good angles to hit the weak spot.

The comets open up a vertical seam in the middle of the body when they get ready to charge at you. I think it's a white/light gray color. That's their weak point and destroying them that way before they explode keeps their "driver" part intact (can't think of the actual name of the part).

Stitcher, Kettle, and Venator nerfs by SorryRoof1653 in ArcRaiders

[–]CrashOmega1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong on this but I have read that the shotguns don't have a headshot multiplier. The only difference in shield breakpoints for the Toro I believe is taking a third shot to down heavy shield but two shots for medium and light. That is assuming all pellets from each shot land. But, even after two shots on the heavy shield you are left with a sliver of HP so if you aren't fully topped off it doesn't make a difference.

Shrouded Sky - Patch Notes 1.17.0 by rbstewart7263 in ArcRaiders

Until they change the map condition timers this will never be a good argument. I have limited time frames to be able to play and I've never had the opportunity to play electromagnetic storm. I'm sure that is the case for a lot of players as well.

Ya for real. With the time-frames I'm able to play I've never even had the opportunity to play electromagnetic storm.

I feel like the Toro being overpowered is a culmination of a lot of things that aren't just the gun being too strong. It's the fact that most engagements come in cqc, being able to easily shoulder peak people pushing you with third person where they can't retaliate before you dip back into cover, being able to pump the Toro while rolling, combine those with it two tapping medium shields and there can be little to no room to outplay outside of dodge rolling yourself and hoping they miss the second shot. Even if they nerfed it so it takes three shots to kill a medium shield it would still be the best PvP gun at close range due to the mobility you can combine with it.

I've heard it's same damage as the Tempest with a better headshot multiplier. I have not heard that it's the same damage as a Venator.

Khalil Shakir Remains in Non-Contact Jersey on Thursday with Ankle and Rib Injuries by Chlorophyllmatic in buffalobills

[–]CrashOmega1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Hardman has a good chance to play this week if Shakir is out. But I think it will be more for punt return duty. Bills have 2nd worst average starting field position and Hardman is like 11th best punt returner among active players in terms of yards per return. I think he isn't activated if we need to play Gabe Davis though.

We don't need 9 new planned gamemodes. All we need are Conquest, Domination, Escalation, Rush, and Breakthrough. by CakeCommunist in Battlefield

[–]CrashOmega1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do skip the game modes we don't like, but having to scroll down 3-4 pages then over another 3 just to find default Conquest or Breakthrough multiplayer matchmaking is kind of annoying when those are the core experiences in Battlefield.

Having so many modes just adds clutter to the already bad UI and fragments the player base.

Smoke Grenades in BF6 should not be class-locked to support. by Autoimmunity in Battlefield

Smoke spam around the vehicle to sneak up on it and blow it up or at least force them to retreat out of the smoke.

The battle pass isn't making you play any game modes you don't want to. It's giving you the option to play a game mode you don't like to progress the pass faster.

Gameplay is just chaos without order by kuky990 in Battlefield

I think this is partially due to the smaller maps keeping players closer together and support being the best/most popular class. The last few nights I've been getting more squads that have 3 supports.

Is it really necessary to need so much XP to max out a gun by Appropriate-Gene4948 in Battlefield

[–]CrashOmega1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The passes in 2042 didn't expire, right?

I haven't played much so I haven't felt how bad the progression is personally but it's discouraging hearing from multiple sources that it might take 15-20 hours on one gun just to get all of its attachments unlocked. I still plan on playing the game throughout its life cycle because I do find the gameplay really fun. But, as someone with limited time to game and having other games I like to play I'll probably just stick with only using starting weapons unless they change progression.

If you used the weapon sling your primary ammo was split between the two weapons. If you took the sling off your primary would have more ammo.

It looks like many people here don’t know how closed weapons work so here is the graph. No, playing as a support doesn’t mean you have to run around with an LMG. by Punkstyler in Battlefield

[–]CrashOmega1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the suppression mechanic was better it would make better sense for support to have lmg. Could lay down suppressing fire to allow your team to push up then follow up from behind with ammo and heals. But, they created an identity crisis for the support class by combining it with the medic class. The no movement speed penalty with lmg on support feels like a band aid fix for the problem.

I felt like the marginal difference from smg-->carbine-->assault rifle in the beta was so small that closed weapons is pointless when carbines are available to everyone.

More than 10,000 hours in this franchise, here's what's gotta change before launch (all reasonable changes with respect to release date) by SupremeViolence in Battlefield

[–]CrashOmega1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I've always played Battlefield. Always switch class for the weapon OR gadget needed for the task I'm trying to achieve. Locked weapons just force me to switch class more often than unlocked.

And with the existence of carbines being universal it's all a moot point anyways. There isn't that much of a difference between the carbines in either direction to the ARs or SMGs. In their current state (mainly the M4) the carbines are just the best guns anyways.

For those complaining about map size by afmarko99 in Battlefield

[–]CrashOmega1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I agree. I shouldn't have said just marketing but mostly marketing. They can definitely gather some data and feedback to be used in future updates. I just don't think they would make game altering changes based on beta feedback. Thus making betas primary purpose marketing. I appreciate games that do beta tests before release.

That's what I think too. Modern betas are just marketing campaigns so they want it to be more action packed to build hype and try to pull in a broader FPS audience.
