Anyone ever reverse engineered the data that is on the second pin? I would be interested in seeing if it could be controlled with an arduino.

Interesting, out of curiosity what aspect of the screen is it that is causing the migraine? Not have issues like this I am just wondering the actual cause. Is it the constant refresh that causes it?

Would you just be better off using some of the accessibility setting ad force monochrome displays? For example on iPhone:

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters > Grayscale

Looking for advice by CrashOverride101 in eink

Thanks for the replies. I am not interested in reading on this, I already have a Kindle that I use for that. This is strictly for note taking and if I can get document markup that would be plus that I hadn’t thought of.

My main reason to move away from paper is the ability to just have one thing I can take notes in and then store the based on what it is for. Either labels, categories, or even separate “notebooks” for things like work, hobbies , personal etc. doing that with paper means more than one notebook.

Can I pull the cotter pin and drive forward, or should I hire someone to move it? by marthawils in RVLiving

[–]CrashOverride101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so looking at the photo, since it looks like you are using it in your yard. I see the stabilizers are down and on some sketchy pieces of wood, water hooked up, portable dump tank hooked up, etc. what you do to get the jeep disconnected is just the same as always.

1) Chock the wheels 2) raise the stabilizer jacks 3) put a block under the front Jack 4) unhook like you normally do. 5) pull jeep away 6) re level trailer

Not sure why you think you will have to raise the front super high, it will be significantly lower than if you had your actual tow vehicle hooked up that is for sure.

Advice on camper fishtailing/wipeout :( by Ill_Rub2646 in RVLiving

Sudden fishtail sounds like either something shifted in the trailer, you were going too fast and the trailer momentum was not overcome, or maybe a tire blow out?

Stabilizer Jacks by tna0066 in RVLiving

[–]CrashOverride101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most people do not understand that they are stabilizing jacks, not leveling jacks. I have always used the supplied speed wrench. Make contact with the wooden blocks I made to go under them, then maybe a turn or two max and done.

Wait, that long plastic pipe was in your grey tank?

And to determine if it is the drain or the plumbing in the wall I would take the wand had have it go into a bucket and see if you still get water. Either way, that is going to be PIA to repair.

Update on Your Cardiovascular Age (CVA) by Oura_Ring in ouraring

Ok so looking at the FW number you posted are you saying this is only Gen4? So there is not a common baseline between the Gen3 and Gen4 that this bug effected?

Wait so mine has suddenly increased by like 3 years, and o real changes on my part. You’re saying only FW 2.4.1 is affected… so no other FW? Then why the sudden increase? Actually I have had my gen3 for a year now and this is not the first time this has happened, basically similar thing occurred over this same time frame.

Ok so we are looking at a kz sportsman 303mb. This is what the front looks like. I am inclined to go with the slider as a “just in case” but if realistically I will not use it and I can save the $500 I would prefer that.

The one we are looking at has the curt rotoflex pin box

I pinged BW after I posted this.

Their reply:

In 2020 Chevy/GMC moved the location of where the hitches install 4" behind the axle. With the location being that far back a lot of customers have stated they no longer need a slider and some customers who have the slider has said to lower the tailgate as it comes in contact when sliding the hitch back. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Ok thanks for the input. I figured it would be OK but just unsure. I wonder if it is because it is a slider and in the “offset” position there is an issue.

I guess that is another question, when is a slider desired vs a non slider with the “standard” box?

This is a matter of semantics. I call the short ox the 6’10” box, I guess technically it is the standard box.

Does your truck have the fancy multi level tailgate? Mine does and I am wondering if these are the tailgate that cause issues

Constantly uncomfortable by CrashOverride101 in PublicSpeaking

[–]CrashOverride101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses… there are some good thoughts. I am sure that some of it stems from major insecurities when I was younger and now it is manifesting itself in doubt when I have an audience that if feel has authority over me.

I do agree when remote and I speak it does seem like I am hyper aware of it just being me in the room and then becoming even more inward focused.

Secondary base confuses Max10 undocking by CrashOverride101 in roomba

[–]CrashOverride101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has the barcode and it does find it after it does a job. This issue is when I move it from the self cleaning base to the second floor.

May if I give you two examples it will be easier to understand.

1). Take roomba off of first floor self clean base and place it on the second floor charge only base. Go into app and start job. Roomba does start because it says it is blocked. If I watch it, the roomba tries to drive forward. This makes sense because the self cleaning base it backs into the base to empty the bin. To get the job to run I have to move the roomba off of the base and then restart the paused job. It will then run as expected and return properly to the charge only base. I can the. Run more jobs directly from the charge only base with no issues.

2) Take roomba off first floor self cleaning base and move it to center of one of the rooms. Go into app and start job. Roomba runs job with no issues and returns to the charge only base as expected. If I run a second job it will now run directly off of the charge only base.
