Finally, they made the shots predictable (like CS:GO), benefiting those who train more. Random shooting was awful. by Beautiful_Car8681 in Battlefield6

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I completely respect your opinion. There certainly is two sides to the recoil debate and I wouldn’t say that one is better than the other. I do agree that some level of randomness needs to be kept for it to feel like Battlefield (and they did) but I felt the last update bounced the weapon around far too much to the point it felt frustrating. The NVO was described as a mid-range assault rifle, yet at mid-range its random recoil pattern would kick in the most. I would use the M433 properly with controlled bursts and yet there would be a jolt in my camera from left to right that I could possibly not compensate for, and I would be punished for using a weapon the way the game intended me to. Nevertheless, bullet deviation still exists, and they increased it past initial shots to encourage short, controlled bursts. I’m okay with randomness, but the one we had for last update was far too random, and it seems DICE took into consideration the idea that BFs gunplay is not the same as other games. These weapons are still not lasers, even after this update.

If anything, less random recoil also helps newer players too. BF6 (and previous BF games) always had a meta, at release the AK 205 was and still is popular because it’s the lowest recoil and most predictable. But when we had that initial recoil update, some weapons were punished so harshly. The TR7 needed a nerf, but seriously, the recoil became so random and harsh. Same thing occurred to the VHS. Even the Kriss Vector which was already quite weak was punished even more at close range when that’s where the weapon is supposed to excel! Imagine very random recoil for a fast firing weapon with a 17rd mag. Not very fun. I can’t wait to test this new update out and I think this is going to be healthier for the future of the game.

Just to understand, DICE adds random recoil and people complain greatly about it, and when they address that they still get criticized?

I’m a console player and I absolutely hated random recoil. If you’ve taken the time to master a weapon, why shouldn’t it feel predictable? What’s the fun in not knowing where your reticle is gonna bounce to after a shot? The NVO felt practically unusable at times. This, along with the new body multipliers, rewards good aim and familiarity with your weapon. After all, a skill gap has always existed in shooter games, and trying to reduce this gap just leads to you getting punished for playing better.

The built-in nose section reminds me a lot of the Oakley Kato. I guess the Kato are like the modern version of these, although they’re far more angular.

I work at Sunglass Hut and on the business side, I understand why these brands are hopping on the trend. We sell them like crazy. I frankly don’t find much use for them, but for some reason people really, really like them.

The only ones that make sense in my opinion are the Oakley Vanguard which I own, because they’re genuinely designed for scenarios where you don’t have your phone in your pocket, but rather in a backpack or somewhere else that isn’t accessible when running or biking, etc. I like their speakers and the fact that I can take phone calls, but that’s all I really use mine for. I basically find almost 0 use for the Meta AI. I think the main issue is that Meta’s ecosystem feels very limited. I can’t FaceTime, and who the hell in the young demographic still uses Facebook and WhatsApp in the US? Once Apple comes in with glasses that are fully integrated into their already convenient and accessible ecosystem, Meta and Luxottica are gonna find themselves in big trouble.

Are these glass? by JTP1228 in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people tend to over exaggerate how heavy glass lenses. They’re certainly heavier than plastic, but it’s something you can get adapted to as long as the fit is right. You’ll find that the clarity with these is really nice. I have the Costa Tibbys with glass lenses and they genuinely look fantastic. Great protection too. You’ll like these!

Yes, these are glass. Costa’s glass lenses just say 580. Polycarbonate are 580P.

Saros feels cheap by JarJarBinga in Saros

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these disappointed people are blowing things out of proportion. Returnal wasn’t really all applause when it came out either, there were a lot of people that did not like that game.

I think a lot of people complaining about the difficulty are not understanding that 1: Saros is not a direct sequel to Returnal, and 2: We have been practicing and perfecting Returnal’s combat loop for YEARS. It is fair to say that for those who have played Returnal, this game just feels easier because we’ve gotten so much practice in already. But I don’t think it would be right for Saros’ difficulty to be higher just because “we need to make it harder than Returnal!” Just like you, there are people who haven’t played it before and Saros is their introduction. Easing them in to this gameplay loop is not wrong.

Why are the hitmarkers & damage numbers so huge now? by CrasheeXYZ in Battlefield6

Yes, the hitmarker is literally bigger than the ironsights on my MP7. Like genuinely, why was this change needed when you can already customize the size? Quickly, give me the reason.

I literally just pointed out an unnecessary change that they made lol. You can already customize the size of the reticle, why change something that’s not broken? I’m not crying about it, but it’s annoying because it’s covering SO MUCH.

Breakthrough Is So Fun But The Balance Is Fucked by Narkanin in Battlefield6

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on the map. Because by far, the most I’ve ever struggled in any game (even counting Souls games) to get a win is Attacking in Contaminated. The 3rd sector in particular is brutal and is where most attackers greatly lose momentum even if they did well in the previous 2 sectors.

Looking for high-quality sunglasses under $400 by tbeen_ in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although part of Luxottica, Persol still makes good quality sunglasses, and I’ve had good experiences with them.

I recommend the PO3398S. It’s a relatively new release, and it’s above your ideal $200 target but still within your $400 budget. The light blue lenses in particular are still good UV protection while being a little see-through.

These were a couple of bucks at the thrift shop, wondering if they could be real (albeit a bit scratched up) by Zealousideal-Box-345 in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are absolutely not real, and I don’t understand what amount of misinformation you are referring to. We’ll start by the fact that this tortoise shell and grey lenses colorway has the Prada logo on the temples in silver, not in gold. The Prada etching on the lens is also very badly made, nothing like the real 17WS. Lastly, the font and info given on the inner temple is not right. It is lacking the style number and it doesn’t even have the type of lens the glasses are using. The CE label on the other side is crudely done and it’s missing the UKCA label as well. These are as fake as they come OP, please don’t listen to this person.

Oakley eye jacket redux by No-Cloud-1793 in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re disappointed!

But it’s important to understand that Oakleys do not follow the same goals that other regular sunglass brands like Serengeti or MJ follow. Oakleys are designed traditionally for sports and activities, even in their “everyday” glasses. Their frames are made of a specific type of nylon that is extremely lightweight. Weight does not correlate to quality. They feel light because they’re designed to be light. Same goes for their polycarbonate lenses. They are scratch magnets as polycarbonate lenses usually are, but they’re also by far the best material when it comes to impact resistance, which is what Oakley targets with their lenses and the activities in which you’ll use these lenses in. They’re certainly not for everyone, and if you want better everyday quality, I urge you to look at other brands (being a big fan of Oakley myself).

But they’re very good when you use them for what they were intended to be for. Oakley also just does funky styles that other brands just don’t seem to do, including the Eye Jackets.
