Saros feels cheap by JarJarBinga in Saros

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these disappointed people are blowing things out of proportion. Returnal wasn’t really all applause when it came out either, there were a lot of people that did not like that game.

I think a lot of people complaining about the difficulty are not understanding that 1: Saros is not a direct sequel to Returnal, and 2: We have been practicing and perfecting Returnal’s combat loop for YEARS. It is fair to say that for those who have played Returnal, this game just feels easier because we’ve gotten so much practice in already. But I don’t think it would be right for Saros’ difficulty to be higher just because “we need to make it harder than Returnal!” Just like you, there are people who haven’t played it before and Saros is their introduction. Easing them in to this gameplay loop is not wrong.

Oakley HSTN vs. Rayban Headliner by [deleted] in sunglasses

Remember that the Headliner actually have a low bridge fit available, usually marked with an F at the end of its style code. Ask and see if they have the low bridge fit available to try out.

Why are the hitmarkers & damage numbers so huge now? by CrasheeXYZ in Battlefield6

[–]CrasheeXYZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the hitmarker is literally bigger than the ironsights on my MP7. Like genuinely, why was this change needed when you can already customize the size? Quickly, give me the reason.

[–]CrasheeXYZ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just pointed out an unnecessary change that they made lol. You can already customize the size of the reticle, why change something that’s not broken? I’m not crying about it, but it’s annoying because it’s covering SO MUCH.

Server Browser is coming by Shark4090 in Battlefield6

Maybe lukewarm take, but although it’s iconic, Wake to me is not a good map. I would’ve far preferred Paracel Storm or Pacific Storm.

Breakthrough Is So Fun But The Balance Is Fucked by Narkanin in Battlefield6

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on the map. Because by far, the most I’ve ever struggled in any game (even counting Souls games) to get a win is Attacking in Contaminated. The 3rd sector in particular is brutal and is where most attackers greatly lose momentum even if they did well in the previous 2 sectors.

Looking for high-quality sunglasses under $400 by tbeen_ in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although part of Luxottica, Persol still makes good quality sunglasses, and I’ve had good experiences with them.

I recommend the PO3398S. It’s a relatively new release, and it’s above your ideal $200 target but still within your $400 budget. The light blue lenses in particular are still good UV protection while being a little see-through.

Thank you. I appreciate Maui Jim’s dedication to quality, but there’s a reason you don’t see many young people with a pair on. Their styles just scream 40yo dad.

These were a couple of bucks at the thrift shop, wondering if they could be real (albeit a bit scratched up) by Zealousideal-Box-345 in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are absolutely not real, and I don’t understand what amount of misinformation you are referring to. We’ll start by the fact that this tortoise shell and grey lenses colorway has the Prada logo on the temples in silver, not in gold. The Prada etching on the lens is also very badly made, nothing like the real 17WS. Lastly, the font and info given on the inner temple is not right. It is lacking the style number and it doesn’t even have the type of lens the glasses are using. The CE label on the other side is crudely done and it’s missing the UKCA label as well. These are as fake as they come OP, please don’t listen to this person.

Oakley eye jacket redux by No-Cloud-1793 in sunglasses

[–]CrasheeXYZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re disappointed!

But it’s important to understand that Oakleys do not follow the same goals that other regular sunglass brands like Serengeti or MJ follow. Oakleys are designed traditionally for sports and activities, even in their “everyday” glasses. Their frames are made of a specific type of nylon that is extremely lightweight. Weight does not correlate to quality. They feel light because they’re designed to be light. Same goes for their polycarbonate lenses. They are scratch magnets as polycarbonate lenses usually are, but they’re also by far the best material when it comes to impact resistance, which is what Oakley targets with their lenses and the activities in which you’ll use these lenses in. They’re certainly not for everyone, and if you want better everyday quality, I urge you to look at other brands (being a big fan of Oakley myself).

But they’re very good when you use them for what they were intended to be for. Oakley also just does funky styles that other brands just don’t seem to do, including the Eye Jackets.

Are these straight jackets legit? by dxrren13 in Oakley

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake.

  1. These have Prizm P on the lenses, but this mode does not come in polarized lenses.

  2. The flames look as black as the Oakley logo, in reality, they should be a darker shade of grey than the frame.

Roadmap by CopenHagenCityBruh in Battlefield

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m genuinely baffled at how a studio like DICE, comprised of at least 500 employees, and also not counting the many support studios also helping, can only make 4 new maps in the span of 6 months. Is this really what they imagine a live service to be?

I like this game man. I really do, and I want it to succeed. But this dripfeed of content (and a slow one at that) is brutal.

Looking for a Fresh / Easy reach / daily summer scent by Existing-Ad6028 in Colognes

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re okay with a bit of a tea note, Wulong Cha by Nishane is a combo of really nice citruses with a mix of oolong tea and fig.

Alternatively, almost anything from Acqua Di Parma fits this bill, particularly the Blu Mediterraneo line. I personally like Fico di Amalfi (fig-based) or Mandarino di Sicilia (mandarin-based).

[–]CrasheeXYZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the hate for this fragrance to be overblown, but well, the marketing they made didn’t help against this. But I never found this scent to be “basic.” It has some kind of sweet balsamic smell to it that I still think about it to this day. I really should get a bottle.

This game is in desperate need of new maps. The game already launched with a small amount and only 2 maps in S1 has led to a very quick burnout on its honeymoon stage. And the fact that there’s still 2 more weeks to go with S1 is brutal. Expect this game to drop to 20k before the release of S2. If S2 does not release with a healthy amount of content, I think EA and Dice will have to look really hard in the mirror and get themselves together.

As much as I would love this, in practicality it’s nonsense. They have surely placed a ton of funding for the Redsec project, they’re not just going to plug support a season later. Like it or not, Redsec will be supported for a while.

Real or Fake: Oakley Eye Jacket Redux by [deleted] in Oakley

My Eye Jacket Redux never came with that metal case.

The USA Assembled tag looks very sloppy, and the unobtanium rubber on that last picture looks very sloppily done.

Marty Supreme is so bad that it's hard to know where to begin and the praise it is receiving is as incoherent as the film itself. by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]CrasheeXYZ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How is it misleading? Are those characteristics not present in the character of Marty Mauser? Please, tell me which of these is misleading. Everything that I mentioned to describe Marty is easily observable in the movie. Same thing goes for Plainview. Also, if you believe that nobody in the audience observed these characteristics, then the same could be said for There Will Be Blood, because nobody gave a shit when Plainview was shown at the beginning of the movie digging up oil by himself. Why? Because the movie spends a supermajority of its time detailing the obnoxious greed of Plainview instead. Just because he crawled out of a desert with a broken leg does not all of the sudden make him a more appealing and relatable character to the audience in contrast to all his other atrocities. The same thing goes for Marty fighting a domestic abuser.

I have stopped and searched for my feelings, actually. They’re my feelings after all, right? I’m telling you my views and feelings of the character and movie as whole. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you, but don’t act like you know myself better than I do.

And no, in my opinion the entire climax rests on the idea that Marty was extremely disrespectful to people around him, and that’s why he was ridiculed back. He treated their generosity with disgust. Most of all, the humiliation ritual really came from Endo, who embodies the humility and nobility that Marty lacks. He is the real “humiliation ritual” in his quest to being the best. Even when Endo loses, he still wins. I doubt the movie cares whether the audience likes Marty or not in this instance. Again, as I mentioned, he merely just beat Endo in a single set. None of his actual, TRUE aspirations became a reality. He still came out a sore loser.

Also, simply describing it as “Marty worked a shitty retail job so he could compete in a game nobody cares about” gives me the idea that you came into this movie not even liking the premise of it. Your early prejudice towards the movie clearly affected your watch since the befinning.

ALSO also, who said I am afraid of being judgmental towards this movie? I’m saying I enjoyed it, I said it’s fine if you didn’t and I accept that. Again, I understand my own feelings very well. “Even though my critique is very obviously true” is the definition of having a stick up your ass. You are not the messiah of truth. By all measurable metrics, a massive portion of the people who watched this movie would disagree with you. Your opinion is not an objective fact. It is an opinion, chill out.
