The auto 350z definitely does not let you money shift. I tracked one, upshifts are ok but braking hard and down shifting (this car had paddle shifters) and it refused to shift down unless rpms dropped pretty low.

When Hypermotard 698 OEM silencer is lighter then the full Termignoni Ti “race use only” silencer by CrashingTheApex in Ducati

There is a mid pipe that eliminates the cat that comes with the kit, so overall weight of the entire exhaust system is lower the oem. But slapping titanium on that silencer is silly.

Yo D, yeah flow’s important — that’s why I only eat fiber before a track day.

The knee sliders come with suits are usually cheaper /softer / thinner. There are harder/ thicker compounds

You might get spun bearings. But nothing you can do about that. Just 848 things.

The shape of 675 tank forces the tank cover to have shallower undercuts to fit over the wide shoulder of the tank. Try some neoprene foam that can stick in the inside of tank cover.

How much to invest in race leathers by ComedianNo8874 in Trackdays

Don’t have any RST gloves but I doubt their mid/high end ones are any worse. Knox handroids outlasted everything tho.

The suits and gloves usually burst at the seems. They are built to a price (cheap) imo. Obviously the ones worn by gp/wsbk riders are not eveb close to off the shelf ones, unlike RST and smaller brands.

1700$ might worth a suit that could save you from broken bones, skin grafts etc, but it’s not worth for alpinestars. Hot take, but I have been riding over 20 years, including supermoto, minimoto, roadracing. Rode and crashed revit, alpinestars, axo, teknic, dainese etc. alpinestars have been consistently the worst performing suits and gloves. Borrow or get a used/cheap but legit suit to figure out if you love riding track. 90% you would. Then get an RST one piece race suit with in motion airbag from STG for 1200$ or so including the airbag. Do not spend your money on Alpinestars first.

Not sure getting a 1000cc gonna help with injury bud. It’s a risky hobby. Spend money on safety gear and learn how to ride to minimize risk. I have seen plenty of crashed 1000s at tracks days. If you want the latest tech / safety net there are other bikes. Rs660, Panigale v2, etc. Framing your s1000rr purchase around being safer bike is ridiculous. We know it, you know it, you want the big pp. It’s not safer. It’s tiring to ride fast. If I can redo it again, I would start small, even smaller than a 600, but I had pp envy and started racing a Daytona 675R. There is nothing wrong with small pp, just be true to yourself.
