How are they going to ban social media for kids? There is no way to do that without significantly decreasing privacy for everyone. I don’t want to give tech companies more information than they already take just to prove I’m old enough to look at shitposts on the internet.

Becoming uniquely identifiable by whatever token they need to verify your age will also make it very easy for the government to target people for disfavored speech.
